Jellypark Friends "Old & New"

This time around at Jellypark Friends we have a new challenge for you to finish off the "old" year and herald in the "new"!

Use something old and something new on your craft project - Please make sure you note what the new and old elements are for us!

I am on the team that gets to introduce you to one of the new image releases this time. Claire has created 2 new images that are perfect for the teenagers in your life!

Here is what I have created using the boy image:

I cut out stars using my Cricut die cutting machine. The largest star is also glittered. I embossed the blue background paper using a Cuttlebug stars folder. My image was colored using Copics and the sentiment is from TLC. I printed out the image twic and then cut out the top of the computer and the back of the television and popped them up with pop dots (once colored) to give the card some dimension.
Check out the challenge and all of the wonderful creations done by the rest of the design team at Jellypark Friends. We would love to have you come join on the fun!

A Country Christmas...

Doesn't this wagon wheel just make you think "country"? It sure does to me! I love the thought of a big old ranch somewhere with lots of horses and ranch hands...(cute, "buff" ones...lol!). A girl can dream can't she?! Never too old or too married to "dream"! Any who... I made this card using one of the wagon wheel images from Doodle Pantry that was pre-colored. This card went together fairly quickly as I used two of the papers that come with the set. Only my background paper to cover the card base is from my stash. It is from Recollections. I opened up this set in Photoshop and played around with it until I liked how it looked. The sentiment is from another Doodle Pantry set. My greenery is punched using an EK Success punch. Buttons from my stash as were the rub on jingle bells along the side. I love the look of snow and sure hope we get some for Christmas this year. It was 50 degrees Fahrenheit today... not a good sign for snow! Usually Buffalo, NY has a couple of feet by now! Maybe Al Gore was right about global warming... I could be living in the "Miami of the North" in a few years...haha!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Come & Get It - Merry Christmas

Tag...You're it!

Did that title get your attention? This time around for our challenge at Jellypark Friends we would like you to make a tag! I choose the sweet image of the boy with the reindeer suit on to create my tag. I also used my Artiste cartridge to make the tag that is on top of my reindeer tag. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.
I used white paint and a stamp to create the background piece to my reindeer tag. The paper is from a paper bag!
Here is my tag...

My image was colored with my Copic markers and then I outline the tag with a red marker. I cut both the background and reindeer tag with one of my Spellbinder Nestabilities die sets. A pretty thin green ribbon finished it off.
Check out all of the other darling tags that were done by our DT and don't forget to check out the two new images this time around. (One of them is a tag!)
I would like to enter the following challenges:

Blessings to You

I wanted to share a card that I made this weekend using two different images from Doodle Pantry. One of our new releases this month is the bottle set so I used this set for my bottle and sentiment. I took a little liberty with the bottle though and resized it smaller and a little fatter.

I used the Poppy set to create my flowers in the bottle. I love how this turned out! I used the colored image of the flowers and the lined image of the bottle which I hand colored. I think it turned out well. What do you think? I love using photoshop to put these images together! My papers are from my scrap pile and the ribbon was a piece left over from a gift!
Here is my card...

I would love to have you hop over to Doodle Pantry and see all of the yummy sets that are for sale! There is also a sale going on at Doodle Pantry. You can receive 35% off image products from now till January 3rd by entering coupon code 35BLOWOUT. It is a win-win situation for sure!

Happy December!

It is hard to believe that the year has flown right by and we are now in December! I really believe that the older you get...the faster the time seems to go by! When I was a child the year seemed forever...now it seems like a flash of lightening! Since it is the first of December (did you remember to say "rabbits when you woke up?) that means that there is a new release from Doodle Pantry.
I had the good luck to work with one of the new release images called "Trumpet Vine". One of my good friends gave me this same plant this summer and I love it! I thought this would make a great thank you card for him.

As you can see it comes with a lined image and several sentiments...one that I am sure will be perfect for that card you need to create for someone!
Here is my card with the thank you sentiment...

I colored it with my trusty Copic markers. I scored around the image using my Scor-Pal and then colored the score lines with a glitter pen. My vines were made using a die and my Cuttlebug. I found the layout for the card online at Triple J Designs.
I did take a few liberties with the sketch to make it my own but am quite pleased with how it turned out.
Here is a close up of my image...

There isn't a challenge for this month at Doodle Pantry but there's a huge blowout sale at Doodle Pantry from December 1st - 24th: 35% off. And from December 1st - 8th, you receive a free stamp set with any purchase. The free set is Vintage Ornaments.
so why not do some Holiday shopping for the one you love?!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Stars Are Brightly Shining!

Today I would like to share with you a baby card that I made using the two new image releases by Jellypark Friends. I made this card for one of my sons' friends who will become a new "Daddy" next month! It's hard to believe that he has friends who are old enough to start their families but...he is 24! (I had his sister when I was 24.) Times sure have changed now though from when I was younger. I think the average person doesn't even get married until they are in their late 20's or early 30's.
Well...thanks for letting me ramble on...lol!
My card has two of the new images. The sweet teddy bear with the star and that darling sentiment with the hanging stars can both be found at Jellypark Friends.
Here is what I did with them...

My images were colored with my Copic markers. The background design paper is from Quick Quotes. I used SU solid color card stock. My stars were outlined with a glitter pen and cut out using my Cricut Expression machine.
Check out the great creations made by our talented design team and check out the challenge too. You may become one of the "Stars" that will be Shining Brightly!
Have a great Friday everyone!

Thanksgiving Blessings

Do you believe that Thanksgiving (in the States) is only 4 days away? Of course I have a ton of things to do before the day and am working every day up to Thanksgiving! Wednesday won't find me home before 9 PM then I need to bake an apple and a pumpkin pie, make fruit salad and put together the stuffing for the turkey. I guess I will have to crack open a bottle of wine to "help me stay awake"! lol! I digress though so
on to my card...

I made this card using a colored image from Doodle Pantry called Barn. I double stitched around the image onto some grayish blue card stock. This was then placed onto 2 more layers of paper. A pretty design paper was added to my base card along with a piece of gro-grain ribbon. Three buttons that were tied with embroidery floss were added to the ribbon. My image and papers were added to that. Finished! Phew! Here is a close up of the barn...

I love how it turned out and it is in the mail on it's way to my big sis in Florida. This image is so pretty and comes in a few different colors along with a lined image. I can see it being used for many different occasions in my future. Check this set out along with all of the other new sets at Doodle Pantry.

Oh Happy Day!

It's time for another challenge from Jellypark Friends! This time the challenge is to use an image or stamp that depicts hunger by having a drink or food in it. I have chosen an image that was released last February by Jellypark Friends. Here is my card...
I colored with Copics and used my computer to place that 1st purple border around this lovely lady sipping wine. (Hopefully that will be me this weekend...lol!) The sentiment is from Studio G. I used SU black ink to stamp it.
There is also a new release right along side the challenge so make sure to pop over to Jellypark Friends and check it out!
Have a great Friday everyone. I can't believe it is finally here...lol!

Happy...

Hi everyone. Sorry that I haven't been around for a few weeks. Life sometimes has a way of getting away from you and these last two weeks have shown me just how much! lol! Everything is well in my life just a lot of"stuff" going on which has kept me away from my computer and crafting room. But I did have a chance to create last night and wanted to share a card I did using one of the new releases from Doodle Pantry. I used the new Wagon Wheel set.

I colored the image using my wonderful Copic markers. I printed out the image and sentiment on my computer using Photoshop to size and place the sentiment. I think this will be a perfect card for one of the men in my life. I am always needing birthday cards and have decided that I need to "grow" my stash of them.
Here is a photo of the finished card.

Check out the wonderful new images at Doodle Pantry. I am loving all of them and I bet you will too!

Jellypark Time !

Over at Jellypark Friends we are unveiling two new images and a challenge for you! My card was done with one of the new image releases. I made a trifold card (I think its a trifold...). The image is a sweet giraffe just perfect to use on a new baby card which is what I have created. I sized the giraffe in 3 different sizes in Photoshop. Two of the images I then placed on the front of the card (representing the new proud Papa and Mama). The third giraffe takes center stage on the inside of my card as the newest addition to the family. All images were colored using Copic markers. The designer papers are from My Mind's Eye using their Stella & Rose paper pack. I love the muted softness of these designs. Solid paper from Stampin' Up.
Here is the outside of my card...

Here is the inside of the card...

I used a computer generated sentiment on the inside left (That I made up) and a stamp on the far right side. The welcome baby sentiment under the giraffe is a retired stamp from Stampin'Up. Here is a closer look at the sentiment...
All of the cream card stock was edge distressed using Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink. Love that ink!
Check out all of the creations made by the DT and the challenge too! You just might be our next winner! Have a great weekend everyone...

Doodle Time!

Happy November 1st everyone! Did you say "Rabbits" when you woke up this morning? It is an old English tradition that is suppose to bring you good luck for the month. I need all of the luck I can get so I sure make sure to say "rabbits". LOL!
The 1st of each month also brings new sets of wonderful images from Doodle Pantry! I chose the cute set called "Raccoon Rascal" to work with. What a darling set! I used the outlined images and my Copic markers to color them. I also combined the raccoon image with another one of Doodle Pantry's images, the planter from the Topiary set. Here is what I created:

The design paper is from the Raccoon Rascal set as is the sentiment too! I used a Nestibilities Die to cut out the image which I then "faux" stitched around its border. A pretty polka dotted ribbon and my card was finished.
Go on over to Doodle Pantry and check out all of the new sets! They are all truly wonderful!!!

Critter Challenge

This week at Critter Sketch our challenge is to emboss. You may use either wet or dry but show us what you've got! Our sponsor is Soft Pencil once again. I am using one of their sweet images for my card.

I have used dry embossing with my Swirls folder and my Cuttlebug. I colored the image with Copic markers.I also added some shimmer to her hair and fin with some spica glitter pens. I added a pretty ribbon. My image is popped up on pop dots. My sentiment is from CTMH and the sentiment shape was cut using my Expression and the Artiste cartridge.
This will be my last post as a design team member for Critter Sketch. I have had a ball working with the team but feel it is time to "step down" and give other talented artists a chance to be on the team!
Please go to Critter Sketch and check out of the wonderful talent and the challenge.

Pickled Toad Anyone?

I wanted to share a card that I created using my Cricut and two different cartridges. I used the Artiste cartridge to make the shape for the sentiment (which is a stamp from CTMH). The stamp set works together with the Artiste Cartridge. I love that! The toads and the cauldron were made using the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge.

I used an action wobble on the cauldron to make it wobble. I wanted to video it for you but I can't figure out how to use my camera for video taping...duh! So... here are a couple of pics showing that it really has an action wobble.

I used goggle eyes on the toads. The Halloween stamp is from Tim Holtz. My polka dot paper is from DCWV. Solid paper from SU.

Here is a side view so you can check out the box...

A "Corny" Hello!

I want to share a card I made this morning using a new image set from Doodle Pantry. I also used my Cricut and Country Life cartridge to make the ears of corn as my embellishment. The image was colored with Copic markers. The designer paper is from a paper pack from Cloud Nine. The brown paper was distressed using a folder and my Cuttlebug.

I am simply in love with those adorable little ants from Doodle Pantry! They are always getting into some kind of mischief! Check out all of the darling ant images that Laurie has for sale over at Doodle Pantry.

Ghostly Greetings!

This week at SKdigis the challenge is to make something with a ghost in it. This is the last day of the challenge so I am getting this in "just under the wire". That seems to be how I am living my life lately! lol!
Anyway...here is what I did using a free digi from SKdigis.

My image was placed twice in my photoshop program. I sized one smaller and added some neat highlights to it. I then placed it on top of the big ghost. I kind of think it makes him look like a "trick or treater". My sentiment is a retired stamp from SU. I used two different sizes of scalloped punches for it. My paper is from Target's $1 spot (from last year!). My ghost paper is from a pad for Halloween from MM. The arrow stamp is a new one from Close to My Heart and inked with ink from a memento stamp pad. I used some foam tape to elevate my ghost on the card.

Autumn Wonder...

I love Autumn! It is by far my favorite season. I love the changing of all the seasons but autumn is so beautiful! The colors are magnificent and all around me...The leaves on the trees with those beautiful hues and even the ground foliage seems to join in the fun!

Today I want to share a card I made using one of the new images from Doodle Pantry. The image is called Autumn Star. I have used the color version from the set along with one of the sentiments. I sized the star and copied it for a total of 3 images and then arranged them with the sentiment. I then faux stitched around them all as well as the border of my white card stock then mounted to brown card stock. This was then popped up on two thicknesses of foam tape to give it depth. Then I mounted it all to the designer paper. I believe the paper is from Recollections. A button with some baker's twine from Darice and 3 brads with washers from Tim Holtz completes the card.
Here it is...

World Card Making Day...a little Late!

I know I am late for World Card Making Day which was Saturday but I was away and didn't remember to post it to my blog...my bad!
I went to New York City this past weekend to see the commissioning of a naval destroyer the Michael Murphy. This was by invitation only and my husband, SIL, BIL and myself were very honored to be invited! Here is a picture of the destroyer...

Michael Murphy was a Medal of Honor recipient posthumously after he gave his life to save other men in his outfit in Afghanistan. If you google his name you can find out more about this brave young man.
Anywho... onto my card...

My image is from Jellypark Friends colored with Copic markers. My papers are from DCWV. The wonderful flower that is on my card was made following a tutorial by Desire Fourie at Doing Life. She is one very talented lady and I have learned a lot from her! Make sure to check out her blog! Here is a close up of the flower...

Desire's tutorial is wonderful and easy to follow...

Life Stinks...

So make sure you stand upwind! Haha!
I wanted to share a card that I made using a new set from Doodle Pantry. I love this outhouse and it comes colored or not so you have the choice of how to use it. There are several different sentiments too,. I felt in the mood to use this one!
Life really doesn't stink for me but I do have a friend who is going through a rough time right now and I thought I could cheer her up with this card!

I used kraft paper as my base for the card. My brown card stock was dry embossed using a cuttlebug folder. I used my Artiste Cricut Cartridge to cut out the diamond shapes that are added to the bottom right corner. A bit of butcher's twine and some buttons and I was finished. I wanted the image to take center stage and I am sure I have succeeded!
