Hip To Be Square

AiFactory has a new challenge up. This one is to do a creation without using any circular images, embellishements or papers. I chose to do this card using one of the cute digital images available at the AiFactory store ...AiVault, entitled , "Home Sweet Home". This would be the perfect image for a little girls' princess card!
So go on over to the challenge blog and check out what all of the "B" team did with this image. You have a chance to win this sweet image, and also to be a guest designer so go on over and check it out! Have a great weekend everyone!

Final sketch Wednesday for Me...

Today is the final posting for me as a design team member for The Digi Shack. My term ends on the 27th of May and a new design team will be named shortly after that. I had a blast and enjoyed my time on the team but due to so many other commitments, I did not apply to be on the DT this next time around.I have made a lot of new friends and hopefully we will continue to visit each others blogs and continue our friendships... My final creation is based on this sketch:

I used two images from TDS to create this card. The flower and the cool image shape behind it. So go to The Digi Shack and check out the challenge. Make sure that you check out all of the other "Sistahs" blogs too! You can find them listed under the Digi Shack emblem to the left side of my blog...Yeah, over there...a little higher up on the page...yup...you got it! Thank you to Toni and all of the members of the DT for the fun I have had. Rock on Digi Shack!

Another Wonderful Doodle!

OK...maybe I should have said Doodle Pantry image...but I did get your attention with that heading, didn't I? I did this card for my SIL for her birthday yesterday and wanted to pass along the photo. I made this using the sweet bird bath image that is available over at Doodle Pantry. The dp is from DCWV and that flower was made by using my Blossom Two dies from Spellbinder and then stamping them with a stamp set that I found at the CK convention I went to last Friday. The stamp set is made especially for the Spellbinder dies. Isn't that flower too cool?! I just love it... My SIL loved her card so I was happy! Have a great week everyone! Leave me some lovin'

Wishing you a Tweet Day!

I love this little bird and caterpillar from Doodle Pantry! I just can't seem to get enough of them! lol! I made this card using DCWV paper and my Accent Essential cartridge with my Cricut. I love how the "leaf" swirls echo the swirl found on the paper. This image is available at Doodle Pantry so why don't you go over and give it a try? I think you will be happy that you did! Have a wonderful Saturday everyone and don't forget to leave me some lovin'!

AiFactory Challenge#36...Animal & " A" Brad

Animal and a brad? Well...Whales are mammals so I guess they are considered an animal... and a brad? Who can do only one? I had to have three! Isn't this whale and bird image just adorable? I used Quick Quotes paper on this card and an SU punch for my scalloped circle. Brads are Basic Grey and I used my Copic markers to color.

This is the challenge for AiFactory. So go on over the the AiFactory Challenge blog and check out the "deets"! See what all of the other DT members have created for you and HAVE FUN with the challenge! I'm sure everyone of you has an "animal" that you can use for your creation; or perhaps an animal lurking somewhere in your home! lol! So... dust off that stamp, download an image, or go and grab something new to create with over at AiFactory store and give it a whirl! You have until midnight Wednesday May 26th to get your entries in and then a random winner will be chosen to receive this great digital set. We'd love for you to use an AiFactory image but it's okay if you don't. There are however, some really cute freebies that would work great, so make sure you check them out! Remember if you are uploading to an online gallery to please use the code AIF#36 or AiFactory#36 so that we can easily find your entry!

TDS Sketchbook Challenge Wednesday!

Another Wednesday and another sketch challenge over at The Digi Shack! I used the Adirondack Chair image this week as a warm up to my future plans for the summer! I can't wait! I used papers from my stash and square brads from Making Memories. Copic markers to color and Quick Quotes ink pad to ink up the edges. My sentiment is one line of a summer stamp that I got from Michael's. Please go over to The Digi Shack and give the challenge a whirl. Also check out what the other members of the DT did with this sketch. You won't be disappointed! Have a great Wednesday!

"Digital Pencil Too" card

I have had this image for quite a while now and never seemed to have time to do something just cause I felt like it... But today was the day! This image is from the talented Mo Manning at Digital Pencil Too. Isn't that little boy just adorable? I love his dog waiting for the crumbs to fall...Also the little frog sticking his head out of the jeans' pocket! I used my Copic markers to color him and my Spellbinders to cut out the frame and his outline. Papers are from my scraps...just three pieces of primary that I felt would go well with a little boy image.I just love how this turned out. I hope you do too! So if you have a minute; why not go over to Mo's site and pick up an image or two. I am sure you will love everything there! Have a great finish to your Sunday everyone!

Cowboy Love

I got this image from Stamp n Doodle. I never worked with a cowboy image before and wanted to try my hand at it. They have a challenge going on right now for a "Tall and Manly" card. This probably should have been a little taller, but I forgot about the "tall" part until after I had completed it...
I used an SU retired stamp to stamp the horses in the right corner which I then used red glitter on to emboss. The ribbon is from Quick Quotes. My paper is from my stash...(trying hard to use up the pieces!). I used one of my spellbinder dies to frame the image. Let me know what you think and leave me some lovin'!

AiFactory Challenge...Make it Sparkle!

The challenge this week from AiFactory is to add some sparkle to your card! I used a glitter pen to add it to my cup and to the sentiment. I then added gems to make the steam for the tea cup. This really looks better in real life, the picture makes it look kind of weird..But I didn't have time to do another one. (This was my third attempt). Oh well... some days are better than others! But enough about my card. Go on over to the AiFactory challenge blog and check out the challenge and see what my other DT members have done! You won't be disappointed.

Doodle Pantry Peacock...

Isn't this image simply beautiful?! I have created my card with minimum embellishments because I wanted the focus to be on this wonderful image created by Laurie Wilson from Doodle Pantry. Colored with my Copic markers and placed on card stock from AC Moore. I have used one of my Spellbinder dies to frame the image, added a button and a charm and that's it! The image speaks for itself! Why don't you go on over to Doodle Pantry and check out all the wonderful images that are there waiting for you to "ink them up"!

TDS Sketchbook Challenge

Another Wednesday and another sketchbook challenge brought to you by The Digi Shack! I've used this cute image which has to be one of my all time favorites by TDS. Now onto the info on on card... I've used Tim Holtz distress inks to do the mountains, and Copic markers to color my images. My background paper is from Quick Quotes. The quote was found online, and my stars were created with a Michael's punch; then I ran my glitter pen around the outside edges for a little "sparkle"

I made the Team!

I made the design team for AiFactory! I am super excited! I love all the images and clip art that they have for sale on their store site and now I will be one of the lucky people to play with them first! There is a great team of girls (yup, all ladies...) over there so please check out their blogs to be found listed on the left sidebar here. They have a challenge going on right now on their challenge blog so why not give it a try? They even have freebies to play with if you don't happen to have any of their images, etc. What could be better than that?!

What makes AiFactory so unique? Well I have to say it is because of all the different artists who show their creations (for sale...you bet!) there. You can shop by images, clip arts, etc. or shop by Artist. How cool is that!

To celebrate our new design team and to salute the retiring design team, AiF is having a blog hop entitled, "You say Goodbye, and I say Hello" this Saturday, May 8th. There will be prizes to be found, games to play, and wonderful creations to explore! So why not hop on over this Saturday?
