D2d Snowman

I went a little bit crazy with this card for the progressive challenge over at Delightful Inspiration (Designed 2 Delight) this week! I wanted to try some different stuff...so I did! I used my Cuttlebug and an embossing folder for my green background. I then distressed it with chalk ink and punched the edge with a paper punch. I also cut out some trees from my Winter Woodland cartridge with my Expression. This was all layered or popped up with foam tape to my yellow background paper! I kinda like how it turned out :D
The image is colored with both Prisma and Copic markers.
I would like to also enter it into the following challenges:

IDIC Weekly challenge

This week our challenge to you is to create a bookmark. We used images by Robyn's Fetish for our creations and I love both of the images here! I love them so much that I couldn't decide which one to use so I used both of them! haha! Two bookmarks for you to check out!

My first one is done with a great ewe image and I thought the little word bubble was perfect for it as I know once I start reading...I am in another world and probably wouldn't hear my kids either!

My second was done with Robyn's popular birdie image and I think she is perfect to rest inside the pages of my book...Until I can open it up once again!
We give a freebie with most challenges.
Just choose an image that the DT has used for the bookmark challenge and send your request to

Fishing Around...

Hi everyone! I had this sweet freebie from Lia Stamps and thought I would make a card for my brother who is an avid fisherman. I colored the image with my Copic markers and placed it on black card stock after punching the corners with a SU ticket corner punch. My background is from tow different pieces of paper. The blue paper is from Pizazz. The golden color is a solid piece from SU that I ran through my Cuttlebug with one of Tim Holtz's folders. This one looks like a sunburst so I thought it would be perfect! My fish on the raffia line were a favor from a friends' retirement party.
All in all...I really like how this turned out and I hope my brother does too.

Peacock Songs

I have two cards to share with you today. Two cards both using a peacock image! The first card is for the progressive challenge at Delightful Inspiration. This was the image given if you participated in the progressive challenge with Faith. I used my Copic markers to color the image.

My next card is a digital image from Doodle Pantry and was given free for entering the challenge there (that is still going on...so check it out!). I colored again with my Copics. This time I used one of my Copics to color my embroidery floss to make my own Baker's twine. It was pretty easy and now I have matching twine!

Designed 2 Delight!

This week at D2D we were given an image of strawberries to play with. I made a card that will be able to be used for almost any occasion just by adding a sentiment to the inside! My papers are from Paper Pizazz and Queen & Co. I used a die cut to make my butterfly which I then colored with my Copic markers along with coloring the image with the same markers. I printed the image twice and then cut out one of the strawberries which I "popped" up on the first layer. My image was cut out using a Sissix die.

Critter Sketch Time!

This week at Critter Sketch Challenge blog we are sponsored by Stamp & Create. Here is the sketch we have for you to work with...

...created by our talented Melanie! I took a little liberty with the sketch and stretched it a bit but I know you can still see the original sketch there!

My stamp was bought at a garage sale at my LSS and doesn't have a manufacturer on it so I don't know whose it is. Sorry... I also bought the clock chipboard there and then painted and distressed it. I added my own "homemade" hands to it. The gears were made using Accent Essentials cartridge for my Cricut. (I am really trying to use my Cricut more...) The papers are from Queen & Co. I used my handy dandy Copic markers to color the image.
This will be for my son as a birthday card! He is 23 today! Where have the years gone???
Go on over to Critter Sketch and see what is waiting there for your eyes...you will be glad you did!

I made a Post It holder! I found a cool tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers and knew I had to try it. My blue background paper was cut with my Cricut using the Cindy Loo cartridge. I colored my image (Chubby Kitty Butterfly) using Copic markers. My black paper is a glitter paper by DCWV. Check out my close up for that glitter action!

DP2 Challenge

Digital Pencil 2's challenge #90 this week is "Vintage"- use lace and distressing. I love this image of Mumu dancing with her granddaughter and thought it would be the perfect image for this challenge!
I used Copic markers to color and Tim Holtz distress inks to distress the edges. I faux sewed around the edges of my papers and image. My papers are from Queen and Co. My doily was from a corner "junk" store in my neighborhood! I distressed the edges with the distressing ink and folded the doily for my fan . Flowers and leaves were made using a MS punch. My rosebud is from Michaels. The sentiment is from TLC creations.
I am also interested in a guest spot on Mo's DT for August...I am keeping my fingers crossed...

IDIC Flower Challenge

This week we are sponsored by GlitterBabe and I was given a great silhouette image to work with. I copied it 3 times in my Photo Shop program and then printed it out on card stock. To this I then used two different colors of ink with a solid stamp block to make my background. A simple sentiment stamp was added to the bottom corner...card done! Doodle Pantry Image Challenge

On the 5th of every month Laurie over at Doodle Pantry has a challenge. The only requirement is to use a Doodle Pantry image (not a sentiment only). In return; you will receive another image set from Laurie! I love the image that I have used entitled Snapdragon. I can remember my grandmothers' garden with all of her beautiful snapdragons. When I colored this image I was transported back to those days of my youth spent in her garden...Wonderful memories! I have colored the image with Copic markers. My background (from the bottom up) is stamped, paper pieced and green mesh fabric over the top section. My flower was made using a scalloped SU punch. The sentiment is from TLC. I cut out both the sentiment and the image using Spellbinder dies.
I am entering this into the following:

New Card with Mo!

I used the cute image entitled "Chickies" by Mo Manning to make this card. A Spellbinder die was used to shape my image, and the yellow background which is from an old greeting card. I used a dotted swiss Cuttlebug folder on the blue base paper. The flowers are from many different sources. My yellow flower I made using my scallop punch. The green flowers are from Maya Road which I painted and distressed. The other flowers are from Michaels. I used a punch for my leaves. I really love how this card came all together! Happy Holiday!

This week at IDIC our challenge is: Patriotic! Let us see your red, white and blue! We got to work with some sweet images from Beary Dust Stamps and I used this cutie! My background paper is actually left over from Valentines day! I loved how it looked with my colored image so had to use it. I colored with Copic and Promarker markers. I used a chalk ink to distress the edges of my sentiment. The ribbon was a scrap piece (Love when that works out for you!). I used photoshop to place the border around my image and placed everything on a blue card base that I made. Go on over to IDIC and check out the goodies that our DT have for your viewing pleasure and then try your hand at the challenge. Happy 4th of July to all of my American followers and Happy Canada Day for my Canadian followers...
