The Luck of the Irish!

Today I am going to share with you the card I made for Cardz TV latest card challenge: St. Patrick's Day. I am not Irish but sure do have a lot of friends who are and one of them will be getting this card from me.

I have created a tri-fold card using papers by Quick Quotes and Studio G. My sentiment tags were cut from an old file folder and the edges inked using Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink. My circle embellishments were made using a tutorial by Desire Fourie. Click on her name and be prepared to be "dazzled"! She is one talented lady. My shamrocks were cut using my Cricut Expression machine and the faces are from Peachy Keen. The sentiment is from Mary at Cardz TV. I love her sentiments and am so honored to be on her Design Team! I used two different stamp sets for my card: "It's All About You" and "Happy Days". Check out the challenge while you are there and you just might be the winner of one of her marvy stamp sets.

"Winging Your Way"

Did my title catch your attention?! This week at Jellypark Friends the challenge is to create something with "wings". I have used a beautiful image from Jellypark Friends with this fairy...

Isn't she simple lovely? I colored her with Copic markers and then "fussy" cut her out. I then mounted her on my A2 size card base. I added the flowers next. They were stamped on vellum paper then colored on the back side of each with oil crayons. They were mounted using pop dots for two of them. I then went at it and just doodled around all the edges of the card.Such fun!!! The sentiment was stamped last. I love how she turned out. I think just looking at this card made me feel peaceful...lol! Check out all of the wonderful winged things that the D.T. have created for you and then plan on joining us at Jellypark for our challenge.

Here in a Pinch...

I wanted to share a card I made using a Doodle Pantry image and sentiment. Isn't this crab just the cutest? I used the colored version of the image so I didn't have to worry about coloring it. I used two different Nestabilities Dies for the yellow and white backgrounds.
My background paper is from my scrap pile.

CardzTV Birthday Challenge

Hi everyone! I am uber excited to present to you my first creation made as a member of the Cardz TV design team! Mary split the team into two sections: card design team and 3D design team. I am on the Card design team. I chose for this challenge to make a card for a child. I work with preschoolers and always need birthday cards so this was a good choice for me. Here is what I created...
I used the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge for my number 5 which I cut out of some neat design paper with numbers on it. I love the look! I used paper from Studio G for my green star background paper. I then free hand drew a birthday cake and candles to which I added the birthday sentiment from the Cardz TV stamp set entitled,"Happy Days". I also cut a star out using my Cricut once again to place the cake sentiment on. To the star I added an action wobble so it wiggles back and forth to make the card a lot of fun!
I had so much fun creating this card. I hope you will go over to Cardz TV and check out all of the other creations that the D.T. have done for you. Perhaps you will even join in the fun and try to win a stamp set of your own! Just...Have Fun!

P.S. Happy Valentine's Day!

Cruisin'

Hi everyone. I have been so very busy that I haven't had a chance to post anything here in a while. Well today I will change that!
I made a card for my nephew for his special day today. He is 17 and has his first car so I thought that this cut from Nifty Fifties was perfect to use. What do you think?

I cut the car at 2" and layered all of the pieces. I used a different cut for the sentiment to go on. My sentiment is a stamp from Michael's. I added a peace symbol brad. I inked around my background paper which is from DCWV with Tim Holtz distress tea dye ink. My card was finished! I hope he likes it. (I know he will like the inside with the $$$...lol).
