Critter Sketch Challenge!

This week we followed a sketch and used an image by The Stamping Boutique. I dry embossed my background paper and used my Spellbinder die for the shape behind the image. Acouple more circles, some ribbon and buttons and Voila! Done! I colored the image with my Copic markers. Why not go over to the Critter Sketch challenge blog, check out the examples by the team and try your luck? You just might win! Good Luck!

Happileigh Weekly Challenge

Here is the inspiration for our challenge this week at Happileigh Scrappin'. The colors we would like you to use are: pastel pink, mauve, sage green and light brown.

Leigh gave us an adorable image of a birdhouse and a sweet little bird image to use in making our creations. I used some vintage digital paper I found online for my background piece. I colored the images with my Copic markers and then popped up the birdhouse with pop dots. Next I added some pearls around the border on two sides. I made this into a thinking of you card and I will send it to my sister.
Have a great day and make sure to go over to the Happileigh Scrappin' Challenge blog and check out our challenge and wonderful creations made by the DT then give it a try!
I am entering this into the following challenges also:
Fairy Knoll - Flowers (my sweet bird is sitting on them)

Thank you for the wonderful card made with one of your newest images from Happileigh Scrappin' I love it!

IDIC Sees Red!

This week at I Did It Creations (IDIC) our challenge #40 is to use red for Valentine's day. We were sponsored by JLJ Designs. She has some wonderful images and great digital papers so be sure to check it out! Be sure to stop by IDIC for the other DT examples for some wonderful inspiration. I also want to tell you all to stay tuned for next Sunday, Feb 6th,because the IDIC will be holding a "Love is in the Air" Blog Hop! Come hop with us for fun, games and prizes. The team has been hard at working making some wonderful projects to share with you! Now onto my creation for this week...

I paper pieced the tutu of this cute little bear and then used the same DP as my background paper. I also dry embossed my white piece of paper for the background. A Sakura pen was use to make the wings so shimmery, and a gold gel pen to outline parts of the image. I colored using my Copics (of course!)
When I first did the card for this week I wasn't paying attention to the "rules" for the challenge and made a purple card...It turned out nice and I will use it for another time. Haha!
So go on over to I Did It Creations and try your hand at our challenge! Have a great Sunday ...I know I will...It's my Birthday today!
I am also entering the following challenges:

Two for Me!

I did it again! I found time to do two for me! I love when that happens! I used a Doodle Pantry image to make this sweet Valentine's day card for one of my students...(others will be variations of the toppers on the heart). This valentine heart comes with a lot of different character toppers and is so versatile! Check it out at Doodle Pantry!

My next project was done with a darling Big bear image from Faith at Designed 2 Delight. This cute image was a freebie in her progressive challenge. If you didn't get it free last week; you can buy it at her store. I made a tag to go with the candle I bought for my daughter for Valentine's Day. I stamped tiny hearts on the wrapping on the gift he is holding just for the holiday! The flower I made with a scallop punch from SU! I punched it out 8 times, spritzed with water, crumple up, let dry, then inked edges and piled together. I then punched a hole in the middle, added a brad, then scrunched it up for the shape. This image is also versatile and I will be able to use it for birthdays, Christmas, weddings, etc.! I love when that happens!

Thanks for looking and leave me some lovin' !

For The Boys in your Life! AiF Challenge

It's challenge day at AIF and it's all about the boys! It's a masculine challenge! I never seem to have enough masculine cards so I was happy for this one. We got to use this great set ( A must have for anyone that does masculine cards) Little Cowboy. Isn't this set the cutest?! I chose two of the images for the card I made this time. The next time I can do a completely different card thanks to all of the cool images in this set!

I colored with my Copics and made a simple card with no design papers or other embellishments! I wanted the images to take center stage and be the stars! (hahaha...)This card will be for my nephew Bryce who will be turning 7 next month.
Check out all of the other girls creations at AiFactory and then try your hand at our challenge "Pardner"...I hear it's gonna be a "showdown"! Have a great day!

Happi Inspiration Challenge!

We have another inspiration challenge for you at Happileigh Scrappin' Challenge blog. Look at this wonderful soothing picture and draw inspiration from it...I sure did!

I made two cards using the colors from this picture in them. The first one is done using a door basket image from Happileigh and the second one with that cute mouse Tatters getting into the sugar bowl! My first image was colored with my Copic markers and the second one came pre-colored! How easy is that! A card can be put together lickety split if you are short on time and need a card in the moment!

I love that about Leigh's images...I think almost all of them can be purchased pre-colored or un-colored. I love them both ways! Wouldn't that cute mouse one be perfect for your "Sweetie" for Valentine's Day?
Why don't you go and visit the Happileigh Scrappin' Challenge blog; check out all of the wonderful creations, and then try your hand at our challenge? Have a great day everyone!
I am also entering these into the following challenges:
Paper Sundaes - distressing (my 2nd card)
Fuzzy Wuzzy - Use an animal & anything Goes!( My second card)
Totally Papercrafts - Use a Heart(My second card)
Colour Create Challenge - Pink, blue, gray, cream colors (both cards)

A Few for Me!

Hi everyone! I actually found time this weekend to make a few cards using images that I have been meaning to get to! Two images are by that talented Maurie Manning and the other two by uber talented Laurie from Doodle Pantry!

I made the ants card for my SIL for her birthday this coming Friday. I just love those ants! This time they are masquerading as other insects! Too funny! The sweet birdie card is for my nephew's birthday in the next two weeks. I love this birdie and it always makes me smile!

The first Mo Manning card was done for a co-worker's upcoming birthday.

This Mo Manning image was done to put in my stash and use later. I love the sentiment too! It's from TLC sentiments.

Leave me some lovin' !
I am entering these into the following challenges:

IDIC Challenge for the Week

This week the challenge at I Did It Creations is to do a card for a child. I chose this image by Toucan Scraps and made a fun card! I know that when my nieces and nephews get together we love to play games and bingo is one of their favorites! We even set up a prize table so they can choose a prize when they win! What fun everyone has! I thought this card would make a great card for a birthday, or any other special occasion. I used my Copics to color the image, my Tim Holtz embossing folder for the bingo background and Tim's distressing inks for the distressing on both the background and the image. My flowers were hand made. the flat one was stamped from a Michael's $1 stamp then colored and the other flower was made from a page from an old music book.I ripped it out, cut a large circle spiral, cut on the spiral line, then rolled it up holding it together with a little hot glue. Easy peasy! Then distressed the edges and made leaves to add. The leaves are just out of paper that I crumpled and colored with my Copics. The sentiment was computer generated.
Try your hand at our challenge this week and get a card done for your future use at the same time! Check out all of the wonderful creations our DT has done for you over at IDIC and then let us see yours! Don't forget that we give a freebie with every challenge also.
Just pick one of the images used by the DT, email Jeanette @jeanette_wtrs@yahoo.com
with IDIC Freebie Request in the subject line and add the name of DT member whose image you want and she will send you the digi stamp they used in this challenge. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Doodle Pantry New Releases!

Laurie has released some more images today at Doodle Pantry ! I am so thankful that she asked me to guest design this month! (I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift! lol!) The image that I used is from the new Holy Land Flowers 3 set. I love how it turned out...whoever knew that almonds came from such beautiful trees? I also learned while researching the flower(so I could use the right colors) that the tree doesn't get leaves until after the flowers all fall off...I kind of wish that the blossoms would stay on forever...I wonder if the air is scented with the wonderful aroma of almonds? That would be an almost perfect world!
Now onto my card...I used dp from Target's $1 spot. The image is colored with my Copics (whatever did I do before Copics?...!) The sentiment is also from the set.
Make sure that you go over to the Doodle Pantry Blog, check out the new releases, browse the wonderful cards created by the uber talented DT and then make out your shopping list? Sounds like a plan to me!
Today starts a new Doodle Pantry Challenge (DPBC6) on the Doodle Pantry Blog. The theme for DPBC6 is Love. To participate, just create a new card or project following the Love Theme. (It can be anything that denotes love, such as wedding, anniversary, Valentine, etc.)You must use a digital image. It does not have to be a Doodle Pantry image, but we would love to see them if you have them! If you want, check out the Doodle Pantry Freebie Page where you will find some sweet freebies to use for your creation.
Have a super day everyone!I am also entering this into the following challenges:

Critter Color Challenge # 47 !

This is my second post for the Critters since I joined their design team! We take turns posting and last week was my turn off! I am back this week with a great challenge! This week we challenge you to use the colors blue and silver in your creation! You are also suppose to accent with either pearls or rhinestones! Don't forget to accent cause I did! Do not use my card as a sample for the accents cause I FORGOT to add them! lol! I used a couple of punches to punch out my tag (SU) and my flowers(MS). They were punched out of the tops from take out containers!
If you would like to see some samples done by the other members of the DT (hopefully with pearls and/or rhinestones...) check out the Critter Sketch Challenge blog.
You have one week to post your entries and maybe you will be our lucky winner...Good Luck!

There are a few new rules for our weekly challenge. They are as follows:

You may now use any image from any artist to enter in the challenge. (Inappropriate images will be withdrawn)
You will receive 1 entry point for your entry.
If you use a Happileigh Scrappin' image you will receive an extra entry point.
The winners will now be chosen randomly.
There will still be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place drawings.

Check out what I did with this new image called "I DO" by Leigh...

I tried to capture the pastel "soft" feelings that I got when I looked at the inspirational picture. I colored with my Copics and used "A Child's Year" cartridge with my Cricut die cut machine to cut out the card. I used scraps of designer papers from my stash and Copic markers to color. My flower is from DCWV. Go over to Happileigh Scrappin' and check out all of the other DT members creations and then start thinking about what you want to create using the inspirational picture! Brr...I'm Turning Blue!

I think that my title is appropriate for much of the U.S. this last week! There have been cold waves even down south and out west! My nephew posted some pics of snow on the palm trees in Las Vegas! Yikes! Anyway...on to my post...
The challenge this week at I Did It Creations is to make something using blue and/or relating to the cold blue winter! I chose to use this sweet scenic image for mine. When I showed it to my hubby his only comment was..."icicles usually hang at the top of things..."! I told him I was taking "creative liberty" and placing them at the bottom of my scene instead! (I really liked them there better...lol!)
So...go over to IDIC and check out all of the creativity by the rest of the design team and try your hand at our challenge! Remember that you can also request an image that one of the DT used to also use for your creation for entering our challenge. Thus this is a "win win" situation! Have a great week everyone!
I would like to also enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Cold and Frosty
Stamp With Fun -Snow
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - Anything Goes
Sentimental Sunday - Winter

Thursday AiFactory Challenge

Hi everyone! Today the challenge at AiFactory is a good one...Anything Goes! We were given some really sweet images to choose from and I chose to use the sweet ballerina images found here. I made two different cards for those upcoming birthdays I have! The first image is done for a younger niece and I know she loves purple(what little girl doesn't!) I used the ballerina image and the slippers image together for this one. My next card is done for a older niece and I thought this sentiment was perfect for her! Too funny but so true!
The sentiment was found online (I'm not sure where...if you know please drop me a comment so I can give proper credit to the author!)
Go over to AiFactory and check out all of the awesome creations by our DT and then try your hand at the challenge!
I hope you have a little "dance" in your step today!

IDIC Technique Challenge#36

For my technique challenge at I Did It Creations challenge blog this week I did an easel card. You may do whatever technique you would like to do! We leave the technique up to you! I used a sweet image by Glitterbabe's Art which was already colored! All I needed to do was embellish it and pop it on my card! How easy is that!I used a MS punch to make my tan trim embellishment on the outside and inside of card.I used two different Nestabilities dies for the image and frame around it. The brads used were found at Big Lots (I believe from We are The Memory Makers). I inked the edges for that distressed look.I added a couple tiny tags and a computer generated sentiment and I am "good to go"! Why not go over to the blog and check out the challenge? And while you are there check out what the other members of the DT have created for you!
