Day 1 of Vacation!

Two more cards done on my first official day of summer vacation! I think I am going to enjoy my summer! lol!
The first card is a free image from Doodle Pantry that was given away when Doodle Pantry reached 100 members over at CDAC. Isn't it perfect for summer?
The second image was a free image from The Stamping Boutique over at CDAC when the site first previewed. I believe that it is still there until the end of this month...
Have a great Monday! (I am waiting on the plumber to come and charge me "an arm and a leg" lol!)

AiFactory Challenge # 41 !

Another week and another challenge for you from AiFactory This weeks challenge is for a shaped card. No normal square or rectangle shaped card! So... I used a sweet image from a set found here at AiFactory. I used one of the digital images and enlarged it to make my shaped card. Yup, I used the guitar! How sweet is that? I used another image for the inside of my card( the girl rocker) and still another image with the stars (which I repeated a few times). I used Copics to color my images and finished off the inside by stamping "Wish Big" on the top part of the inside and stars all over the inside. I love how it turned out and I think any budding "Hannah Montana" little girl will love it too! Go on over, check out the challenge, and check out the other great creations from the Design Team too!

Happy Father's Day!

This is the card I made for my hubby for today. Not your traditional card, but I loved this image from Doodle Pantry and the sentiment says it all! After almost 37 (yikes...did I say 37?) years, Bud does indeed still "Light up my life"! So...to all you Dads out there...Happy Father's Day and to all you Moms out there...show your "Man" that he's "still the one" (to take a quote from Faith Hill!). Enjoy your day!

Delighted for Sure!

Another week and I did another awesome image from Designed2Delight! Three weeks running! This week we had a sweet little song bird given to us...Yes...I said "given"! How sweet is that! On the first week of each month, Faith has a free image up for grabs on her blog. If you use that image and post your creation on her challenge spot, she emails you the following one for the next week! I used Copics to color and some ribbon from Michael's. My Prima flower I colored to match the image. My paper is from DCWV and that cute brad is from Making Memories. So...leave me some lovin' and let me know what you think!

AiF Challenge #39

I did my card this week using this cool digital image from the AiVault store.

Here is my creation...
I used Tim Holtz distressing inks. I also used pearls for the corners of my image that I colored with Copics to match my colored image.(Which was also colored with Copic markers). I crumbled the image, inked it up, ripped and inked up the edges of the image then placed it all together on card stock to which I adhered some cane ribbon that I've had forever! (I knew eventually it would find its' way onto a card! lol!)

Our challenge and yours if you accept this challenge is to "Distress it". Yup... tear, rip, ink it up, crumble, or whatever else you can think to do to distress this image! If you don't have any AiFactory images yet, feel free to use whatever you have...but there are loads of freebies over at the store; so why not go check it out?
Go to AiFactory Challenge to enter your creation and perhaps you will be our next winner! Good Luck!!!

Sentimental Summer...Got ya Cornered!!!

Sentimental Sundays challenge this week is a good one.The theme is summertime (plus a sentiment). Our Creative Corner also has a challenge using...you guessed it...corners! So I am entering this in their challenge also. I knew I had the perfect image for this challenge when I looked at my digital images from Doodle Pantry. I mean if these cute little ants don't shout "Summertime" then I don't know what does! Aren't they the sweetest little guys you've ever seen?!
I used papers from my scrap stash ( I must have the biggest scrap stash known to mankind!). Imagine my happiness when I found this fun scrap piece that had sun and "Surf's Up" on it! Just perfect! The image is colored with Copic markers. I added small pearls that I colored with Copics to match the layout and a flower that I took apart and added a brad to.The corners are from Making Memories and I have been hanging on to them for a few years!
So go on over and check out the challenge at Sentimental Sundays, Our Creative Corner, and pay a visit to Doodle Pantry too! Leave me some lovin' !

Designed 2 Delight Challenge ---Week Two!

Well I finally did it! I was able to do 2 weeks in a row for the Designed 2 Delight challenge this month! So on to this weeks entry! I received a cute little image of a mouse with a birthday cupcake and created the following card with it:

I used really old papers from my stash. I mean REALLY OLD papers! The background design paper is probably 8 years old from my scrap booking beginning days, but I thought it fit the celebration theme of this cute little mouse. The tag is from Martha Stewart, the ribbon from Michael's. I used stickles on the balloon and Copics to color it all. I used a glitter pen to go over the sentiment and Copics to color the little cupcakes on the tag. Leave me some lovin' ! Have a wonderful finish to your Sunday everyone!

Let's Get Moving with AiF challenge

The challenge this week at AiFactory is to use movement on your creation.I did a card using a tugboat from this cute clip art set entitled, Toys for little Boys:
I made slider card (I think that's what it is called...) using a couple of pennies on either side of the cut out line to roll along the line and move the tugboat.

I water colored the water (ha ha...water colored the water!) and used a scrap of green DP for the top. Ribbon is from Big Lots. I computer generated the sentiment. Please join all the members of the "B" team for this challenge. They have some very cute creations to inspire you!

But not this month! I found some time tonight and was determined to get a card done with this cute image! What's cool about their challenge is that it's a progressive challenge. Every time this month that you enter their challenge; they will send you the next image to enter the next weekly challenge! How sweet is that! So...without further ado, here is my card:

A Baby Card...

I did this card using such a sweet sentiment that I have had on my computer for a while. The designer is LC? (I think). If you know who created this wonderful sentiment will you please let me know so I can give them the credit due to them! Thanks... The star is a digital image from AiFactory. I used paint around the borders of the DP and the card base. Colored with my Copic markers. The designer paper is from Basic Grey.
I am entering this into the challenge at Stamp Something which is to use a digital image or sentiment.I used both on this!
I am also entering it into Sentimental Sundays challenge which is to use new or neglected stash Leave me some lovin' !

Anything Goes...so...Punch it Up! AiFactory challenge #38

AiFactory has another challenge for you this week! You are to make a creation with some "punch"! Use your punches to do embellishments, borders, or whatever you wish... just use a punch (or two!). I have used this cute digital set from the AiFactory store.

Now... this is what I did with the image

I used a border that I made using some chipboard edges that I then painted with Elegant paint in Champagne Gold. I used my Copic Markers to color and then used one of my SU punches to make the second layer of the flower.I cut out sections of the scalloped circle to make it look more like a flower and painted it with the same gold paint and then used purple chalk ink to cover over the gold creating a shimmery finish to it. I added a large Prima flower for the base and a small Prima flower on top of the punched out flower and finished it out with a button.(All that for one flower...But I like the finished product!)
If you don't have any images from AiFactory yet and want to play; you can go here and get one to try out for this challenge! So...there is no reason not to play! Check out what the other DT members did by going to their names on my sidebar. One more picture of my card...this time I played with it in Photoshop and did another poster effect with it:

Isn't it sweet!! Leave me some lovin"
