Lia Stampz Challenge #11

This week we have a new challenge for you at Lia Stampz...

It's a tic tac toe challenge! Use any three items in a row to complete your card. I used the buttons, brads, and scallops row for my card. The image that I used is a new image from Lia Stampz entitled "The Guardian". I "flipped" the image before I printed it so he is standing looking to the left instead of the right. I love that you have that choice with digital images. He was a lot of fun to "ink" up and the sentiment I used is so much fun too! My sentiment is from TLC Creations. I love Paulette's sentiment! I used a scallop punch and a scallop edger for my circle and paper edging.
My designer paper actually came from a package of papers that was designed with Girl Scouting in mind from K & Co. I found it at Big Lots for $1.00! I knew I couldn't pass it up. It is a package of 12 x 12 double sided papers so you will definitely be seeing more of it!
Go over to Lia Stampz and check out the other wonderful creations done by the design team. I hope to be seeing your entry into our challenge soon!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Jellypark "Night at The Oscars"

In honor of the upcoming Oscar Awards our challenge at Jellypark Friends this week is a fun one! We would like to see your creations using a favorite movie of yours as the theme! I have used this sweet image of a young girl called "Dressing UP" dressed up in her mother's clothes to showcase one of my favorite movies..."Pretty Woman". I love the line in the movie where the guy says to anyone listening..."Dreams...what's your dream? Welcome to Hollywood where dreams come true". I loved Julia Roberts all dressed up for her dinner with Richard Gere. We all know how that movie ended...with her dreams coming true...She was rescued by her knight in shining armor. LoL!
Let's see what you come up with. I can't wait!

Doodle it Up!

This week I used a wonderful flower image from Doodle Pantry to create my card. I printed my image off on construction paper. (I saw this done by a very talented artist at CDAC and knew I had to give it a go!) I colored the image using watercolor pencils. I then cut away the top part of the paper to expose part of the flower. I really love how it turned out! I then mounted it on white card stock and placed that on a piece of designer paper. Another dp behind it and then all mounted on my kraft card base. The stamped image is from a $1 clear plastic set. I colored it with white pencil.
There is still a challenge going on over at Doodle Pantry until the 24th of February. Check it out and just for entering you will receive a free digital stamp set which isn't even in the store yet! How sweet is that!

CDAC Progressive Challenge---Round #12

This time around at CDAC we are "Green,Great and Gorgeous!" I was given this sweet image by Happileigh Scrappin to work with. Isn't he the cutest frog ever?!
I used the colored image and added the sweet sentiment right next to him before I printed it out. Pretty easy! My background paper is from my scrap pile so I don't know whose it is...(Sorry). I added a wide green ribbon to the card and then added my image to some shimmery yellow card stock. The buttons were added with a little bit of twine to the large one. A corner rounder was used to finish off the outside edges of the card and I was finished!
Check out the challenge at CDAC and give it a try! If you haven't entered before you can buy into the progressive challenge for just $1.00 and then you will be automatically sent the images for the next round! Check out the complete rules at CDAC.

I am on the team that is presenting the new release images.

My image is a group of 4 owls...

I colored them then cut them apart to place on my card. I used a variety of embellishments to make the card.I also used two of the bunting banners from another image set. I colored all of the images with my Copic markers. The green background paper was embossed using my Cuttlebug and a hearts folder.I hand wrote the sentiment on a tag that I made from packaging. My white card base was stamped all over with two small $1 stamps from Michael's and some Guava ink from Stampin' Up.
The challenge runs for two weeks so you have plenty of time to enter! Whooo do you Love???

I Love You...

I made this valentine with my granddaughter in mind. She is ten and I think she will love it. My image is from Doodle Pantry. I used a tutorial that I found on SplitCoast Stampers for the card design and template. I cut the letters out of designer paper from K & CO. It was really easy to make so next I will do one for my seven year old grandson!
I used my Cricut to make the key (cut three times, glued together and used copper embossing powder). I used a few punches for the butterflies and flower base. I used Tattered Angels glitter mist on the white butterfly.(Hard to see in photo but looks pretty IRL.) The ticket stub is from a raffle ticket role and the little round "joy" was from an old kit from Creating Keepsakes. The tiny hearts are leftover scraps from my Spellbinders round heart die! I try to use everything! My SIL says I have "Packenson's Disease" cause I am a pack rat when it comes to anything I think I can create with! lol!
I distressed all the edges of the letters and heart with Stampin' Up ink. A few tiny brads from Tim Holtz and I was finished. I really like how it turned out. How about you?

Enjoy Your Day

I made this card using one of the images and sentiments from Doodle Pantry. I made this into a birthday card with the birthday greeting on the inside panel. My mouse is from the new "Quirky Mouse" set that you can find at the Doodle Pantry store here.

I used my Cricut to cut out the card base and then the designer paper. I used the colored image. The mouse comes in both white and gray! I added the sentiment popped up on pop dots. Two wee buttons and some knotted twine finish the embellishments. Thank you for this great image Laurie!

Cardz TV Challenge #5

Over at Cardz TV Mary has a challenge called "Tickled Pink". You need to use your Cricut die cutting machine for some part of your creation. I used my Birthday Bash cartridge to make the card base and my George and Basic Shapes for the flowers. I like how it turned out. My card is 3 x 3 inches so it is just the right size to stick in a gift or add to a lunch box.
I added some glitter glue to the flower petals to give it some sparkle and then I inked around the card base with some Tim Holtz distress ink . Then I faux stitched around the card base and white background piece. A Michael's $1 stamp for the sentiment and a piece of black gingham ribbon and it was finished! My sentiment is a little crooked but...oh well it makes it look handmade!
Have a great Sunday everyone!
