Hugs and Kisses!

I made this cute little box for my daughter to hold Hershey's Kisses for Valentine's Day. The image is from Wink Wink Ink (and it was a freebie!). I colored it using Copics and stamped the envelope with a stamp from SU. The template was from Hewlett Packard for the box. Have a great Sunday!

Toilet Paper rolls??...Heck Yes!

I saw a tutorial on You Tube for a mini album made with empty toilet paper rolls and decided it was the right one for me to try as I always have tons of empty rolls complements of the family! LOL! You flatten the tubes, cover with paper, I used my bind it all to do the binding on one side...then I went to town decorating each page. I used stamp sets, glimmer mist, distress inks, buttons, ribbon, etc,etc,etc...

What's really neat is that each tube makes a perfect pocket for you to add tags for journaling, photos, mementos, etc. I used two smaller pieces of cardboard which I covered, distressed, inked, or stamped to give a little more dimension to the album (great fillers too, LOL). I think I will add pics of the family, and some journaling, then take it to work to show it off and perhaps get some orders for more!

So... stay tuned and once I fill it up, I will post a few more pics. Leave me some lovin"! And think "Green"!

Going Green

I read a challenge on a blog to use an old stamp to do a challenge. It got me to thinking about the stamps that are collecting dust, so I took the Everything Old Is New Again Challenge! I took it a step further by repurposing an old card too. Read on...

This card was done using an old retired background stamp from Stampin' Up (French Script). I used an old thank you card that I thought was too pretty to throw out for all the embellishments! I cut out the main flower and then used my scalloped and round punches to cut out other parts of the card to reuse. Talk about going green! I used a piece of gray polka dot ribbon along the bottom to place my round flowers on. Now... for the inside. I made a mistake when I first placed the french script on the card front, making it face upside down...well I didn't want to waste the card stock, so I used that for the inside of the card( by turning it around and right side up to become the left side of the card) and just used another stamp to stamp "Happy Birthday" all over it. Then I stamped the right side with another sentiment, and added another embellishment from my previously cut up thank you card! So; tell me what you think?!

Monkey Business!

I did this card for my nephew's birthday... Wow...I can't believe he is a teenager already! Where have the years gone?! I used a Dustin Pike digital image, colored with Prismacolor markers and added another digital image for the birthday circle. For his present; we shopped at American Eagle. I remember when Walmart or Kmart were the places to go for birthday stuff, but when you're a teenager you only want your clothes from the "in" places! How well I remember that peer pressure! So, dinner tonight at my brothers' where we will get to see the whole family! Enjoy your evening everyone (I know I will!). Leave me some lovin'!

This months' challenge at Clearly Delightful is to do a card using a duck image. What could be sweeter than this cute little duck that Laura will give to you when you enter the challenge?! So... find those duck stamps or digital images that you have stored away, blow the dust off of them and get creating! The challenge will be up for 2 weeks and will end the 19th of February, so you have plenty of time to join in.

You can check out the post for this challenge with all the info you need to know. Then when you are finished creating your entry; go back there and enter! You are going to want to enter because Laurie will e-mail you this cute little duck image (just for entering!) and you will have a chance to win some other goodies too!
Check out all of the other designers(Carla, Mary, Pat, Sue and Tricia) great creations and get the inspiration that will have you entering the challenge! Their blogs can be found by clicking on their names listed on the left (yup, on the left!) under the Clearly Delightful blog badge.

For my card on the left,I printed off the image twice, reversing it for my second image. (I love that about digital images; so cool to do in whatever size or position you desire!)My papers and brads are Basic Grey. I used Copics and Prismacolor markers to color.
For my card on the right, I resized and printed lots of these cute litle ducks to place all over the front of my card. It kind of reminded me of the peeps you find in Easter baskets once I colored them different colors! The inside reads: To Wish you a Happy Easter...Done with Basic Grey papers, Copics, Prismacolor markers, and Spellbinder Blossom two die. Thanks for lookin' and leave me some lovin"!
