Doodle Happy!

I wanted share a card with all of you that I made using the cute "Quirky Lizard" image from Doodle Pantry. I love this cute little guy and thought he would be a good choice to use with my sentiment. The sentiment is from TLC Creations. I used the lined image that comes with the set and colored him with Copic markers. My papers are all from DCWV.All the papers have had their edges inked with Tim Holtz distress ink. I made my round embellishments using a tutorial from a fellow crafter Desire Fourie. Her blog is Doing Life and if you get a chance please visit this talented crafter! I used Spellbinder dies to cut out my image and sentiment and their perspective backgrounds. Doodle Pantry has a great sale going on right now so please go and check them out. I am anxiously awaiting to share the new releases from Doodle Pantry on May 1st! I would like to enter the following challenges: Aud's Sentiments - Anything Goes & DT Call C.R.A.F.T. - Animals Cute Card Thursdays -#214 Animal Magic Creative Craft Challenges - Let's See Some Animal Antics

Critter Sketch Challenge #12

Today over at Critter Sketch Challenge Blog there is a new challenge from our lovely team! I love the image that I chose to work with. It reminds me of summer and sunshine! Certainly something I am looking forward to as the weather is suppose to turn nasty with up to 8" of snow. What are they kidding? My pansies are sure to freeze. I have already put away the snow blower and cut my lawn twice! Only in Buffalo! lol! Here is the sketch that you are to follow...
Here is my card:
The image is from Jellypark Friends. Isn't it the cutest? My small ice cream sundaes are a stamp from Stampin' Up. Papers are from my scrap pile...(It is getting smaller...!) Colored with my Copic markers and used some baker's twine to hold up my banner. I used a Cricut cartridge (Country Life) for the banner flags. Check out the challenge at Critter Sketch and all of the lovely creations by the Design Team! Have a great Monday everyone!

Augie's Pug!

This next blog post is to show off a card that my talented 7 year old grandson August created! He came over to visit last night and his favorite thing to do is "scrappin' with Memo". He chose one of Doodle Pantry's images to color. I love that child to pieces! It is so fun to have someone love creating as much as I do. Here is what he created...
He used my Copic markers to color (and now I need a new tip on the blue one...lol!) and had his whole card in mind before he even started. He chooses all of his papers first and then he chooses his image. He even chose his ribbon himself! He definitely knows how he wants to create his cards! Oh...and he even finishes the inside of each one too! Another image goes inside...Here is the one for this card:
If you get a chance I would love if you could leave him a comment here...For now he will share my blog but in the near future....I see his own! I would like to enter his card into the Doodle Pantry monthly challenge. I would also like to enter the following challenges: Jellypark Junior Challenge - Anything Goes Crafters Cafe Kids - Bunnies or Baby Animals

Armor On?

I wanted to share a sweet image from one of Doodle Pantry's digital image sets entitled "Quirky Armadillo". I used the pre-colored image and one of the sentiments that comes with the set. Isn't he the cutest?!
I used scrap papers from my paper pile and pinking shears to cut around the sentiment. Everything was distressed using Tim Holtz distress ink. I actually got to see my very first armadillo in the wild when I went to visit my big Sis in Florida last summer.
Have a great week everyone! I am excited as the new release for Doodle Pantry is right around the corner! I can't wait to see what wonderful images Laurie has created

"Little Bunny Foo Foo" Challenge

Hi everyone! Did I peak your interest with that blog title? Well I wanted to let you know that there is a new challenge over at Jellypark Friends! Our challenge this time around is to make a creation using a bunny in/on it! Any bunny will do...Bugs Bunny or the Easter bunny or anything in-between!

There is also a new release happening today over at Jellypark Friends and I have used one of the tags from the new set to make my card.
I used my Cricut to die cut the baby head and a Peachy Keen stamp for the face. I also added an "Action Wobble" to the head so it bounces back and forth when you touch it. It really is cute to see it in action! I colored the tag with Copic markers. The words on the background were also done using my Cricut then outlined in a glitter pen.

Check out the new stamp set and then give a gander at all of the wonderful creations done by the DT. Have a great weekend everyone!

I Love You...

All The Way To The Moon And Back!

I love that sentiment and knew I wanted to make a card with it. I bought the Formal Occasions Cricut cartridge and found the image of the moon, stars and clouds and knew it would be perfect for this sentiment! I am really pleased with how it turned out! I used a variety of different designer papers (mostly scraps) and embossed the background with the dotted Swiss Cuttlebug folder. All edges have been distressed with Tim Holtz tea dye distressing ink.I used 2 different Stampin' Up punches for the sentiment base.
Foam tape was used to raise a few of the stars and clouds. Here is a shot of the whole card...

A very simple but I think very effective card...What do you think?

CDAC Challenge!

Today marks the beginning of another challenge at CDAC. Check it out! This time our theme is, "There Is Something In The Air". Maybe Spring!
I was given this cute image by McMahon's Fine Designs. I love this vintage looking image so I attempted to do it up vintage. I used a free vintage background that I distressed with Tim Holtz inks. I also added some of the Tim Holtz tape to a couple of the areas. All of the other images of the clock, the tickets, and the key were more freebies from somewhere on the internet. My image was colored with both Promarkers and Copics. I added a little chalk for the cheeks. All in all...I am pleased with how it turned out! Vintage is not my forte, but I am starting to feel a little more comfortable with it! The little metal butterfly was a present from a friend so I don't know who made it...
Check out the challenge and buy in if you haven't done any yet. You will receive 5 digital images to work with. Make at least three of them into a card (or whatever you want), post on the Progressive challenge board and get next month's images free!

Lia Challenge #15

Lia Stampz has another challenge for you this week. it's all about pastels...We want to see your creation done with soft pastel colors! I used an image called Chiky which can be found at Whimsy stamps here. I copied the image for a total of 3 and then made two smaller and flipped them over to face the other way from the main image.
My image was colored with Copics. I used a Fiskers punch to do the edges on the yellow paper (on left of card). I then used a glitter pen to soften the edges of the punched areas, then wrapped some thin ribbon around the middle section of it. I used a flower made by Trico. The sentiment was done on my computer. (Now that song has been stuck in my head all night...lol).
Give the challenge a try...it might make you "feel like dancin'" too!

Doodle Charm!

I wanted to share with you all a card I created using 2 different images from Doodle Pantry.
My nephew has just gone into the seminary to become a pastor and I wanted to send him a card letting him know how proud we are of him. This sentiment from Doodle Pantry came immediately to mind and then I thought the cattails were the perfect touch to add to it. What do you think?

I did a rather CAS card as I thought he wouldn't appreciate anything too fussy.
Don't forget that there is still time to enter the Doodle Pantry challenge this month. Using a Doodle Pantry image for your challenge card will get you another free image set (Quirky Parrot)! Such a "win - win" situation! Check it out here.

Critter Sketch Critter Challenge!

Today marks the beginning of another challenge at Critter Sketch. This week we are giving you an easy one...just include a "critter" somewhere on your project!
This week we are being sponsored by Inky Impressions. I have used the sweetest image from them for my card! This is called Fairy Sitting on Clothespin...

There wasn't a "critter" anywhere in the image (and I don't think a fairy would be considered one...) so I added a butterfly that I punched out using a Martha Stewart punch. I colored the image with mt Copics and used my Cricut to cut the round card base. I added lace around the border and a pretty grosgain ribbon from the $1 bin at Michael's. My image was cut out using a Spellbinder die and my Cuttlebug. LOL...I wonder if if I could make a card without using any of my "gadgets"! (Probably but this is so much more fun...!)
Go on over and check out the challenge and all of the "eye candy" made for you by the DT and then... take the challenge!
Have a great week everyone!
I would like to enter the following challenges:

Happy Wobbles to you!

I made this card using my Cricut and the Crocs Rule cartridge. I also ventured into using my first "action Wobble". What fun!

I used scraps from my pile and a pale yellow card base(4 1/2 by 5 1/2). I used Elegant Edges to cut the scalloped circle behind the croc. Isn't that croc adorable in his bathing suit?! I used a pair of goggly eyes for him and added chalk to blush up his cheek. My stamp is a combo of two from Stampin' Up and the flowers are also from another stamp set.
I tried to get a pic of the croc in action but my camera wouldn't let me take the "action". It just kept on coming out blurred.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Wobble Wednesdays - A birthday card with an action wobble
DYSU - Friendly Creatures (I don't know how friendly a real croc would be...but this one is definitely friendly! Just look at that smile!)
MCT Throwback Thursdays - Use any Cricut cartridge
Just Keep On Creating - Anything Goes

I created this card using the Critter Tops from Doodle Pantry and the basket digital image from Shelly's Images.I also used a sentiment from Doodle Pantry.
I used my Cricut to cut the grass. I even made clouds on the white background! The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch. The flower is a combo of a Prima and a punch.
This is my first day of Spring vacation and I have had a wonderful day creating!
I would like to enter the following challenges:

Lia Stampz Bunny!

Another new challenge has been "thrown down" for you at Lia Stampz! This time our challenge is a pretty easy one...Make Something For Easter. We were given a cute bunny image to work with. Here is my card...

I had a lot of fun with this image and decided to add a sentiment(computer generated) that will not tie me down to only a holiday card.(Pretty sneaky don't you think!?)
I colored with my Copics, gel pens, then added a flower that I made from a punch. I then had to sneak that sweet little bunny onto the card. (Done with another punch)
I added 3 brads that I colored to match the bunny's color and then a pretty ribbon was added to the background paper.
Check out the challenge at Lia Stampz and see all of the other lovely creations posted there by the DT.
Have a great week everyone!
I would like to enter the following challenges:

Crafts 4 Eternity - Use 3 of something (my brads)

Happy Easter...I've Been Framed!

I wanted to make one more card this morning using my Cricut and decided to use up some papers that I still had so... this is what I came up with!
I used Kate's ABC's for all of my cuts. My stamped sentiment is from Stampin' Up (now retired). My papers are a combination of Bazzil, Recollections and Stampin' Up.
I used a punch for the leaves and a Spellbinders die for my framed area on the orange cardstock. Pop dots were used to raise up the flowers and the butterfly. I love how it turned out! Sometimes those things that are made in the "spur of the moment" are the ones that I love the best! What do you think?

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Getting Cricky - Easter Blessings
The Scrapbooking Queen - the Royal Challenge #7 is to use a bunny on your card.

Now on to the image I chose to work with. This little cutie is called Pansy Turtle.

I chose to use the outline image and do my own coloring. I also printed the image twice and cut out some of the pansies to "pop" them up for a little dimension.

The image was colored with my Copic markers. I sure do love those markers! I used a Spellbinders die to cut the image out. Then all of the edges were distressed using a Tim Holtz distress pad. A ribbon, some buttons and a pretty rhinestone swirl complete the card. The pretty background paper and the sentiment are also from the set. The last thing added was some pretty green fiber.
Isn't he a mischievous looking little turtle?
