D2D Challenge

I love the image that Faith sent to us for her progressive challenge this week! It's called Ladybug Bloom. I colored with my Copics and added some Stickles to the flower. Papers are just pieces from my scraps (I believe they are from Quick Quotes). A sentiment stamp and a little bit of pretty fiber and "voila" ...all finished! I think I could use this card for a lot of different things, birthday, thinking of you, feel better, etc. so I haven't stamped the inside of it but will wait until I use it. Go on over to Delightful Inspirations and check out the challenge! A new one starts tomorrow!

This week at the Critter Sketch Challenge blog we have a sketch for you to follow. You are allowed to flip it or turn it but the bones of the original sketch should still be visible. The only other criteria is that you must use buttons too! I used this sweet image by Soft Pencil for my card. I colored it with my Copics. Papers are really from my scrap pile...I am not sure who they were from anymore, sorry. The buttons and ribbon are from Michael's.
Go on over to the Critter Sketch challenge blog and check out all of the wonderful inspiration by our design team and then give the challenge a try!

D2D is Going "Buggy"!

This week we were given this cute image form Faith at Delightful Inspirations to work with! The jar came with one bug in it and 2 more along with it! I added a few more bugs to the jar to make it even "buggier"! My striped designer paper is from Quick Quotes. My sentiment also came with it. For the inside sentiment (which is also Faith's) I added a shamrock image from her with another bug! I colored the shamrocks like Irises and am pleased how it looks! I love this progressive challenge! I really enjoy creating with the images. Why not go on over and check out the challenge? If you didn't play last week and receive the image free; you may purchase it in her shop and join in the fun!

Happi Days are here Again!

Hi everyone! This week at Happileigh Scrappin' we want you to think of Easter colors! The challenge is brought to you by our Happi sister Chris and it is to use soft pastel blues, greens, pinks, and yellows. Thanks for the great challenge Chris!
My card uses the sweet Kasey in Dotted Swiss image. I colored her dress using watercolor pencils from Stampin' Up. I used Copics to color the rest of her. My flowers at the base of the image are made with a die cut out of the same designer paper as my background. The stems are stickers. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the green paper behind my image. The yellow card stock behind that I faux stitched. The sentiment was a freebie from somewhere in "digiland" (sorry I don't remember from where...). My flowers in the left hand top corner are from a company called Trico and bought at my corner "junk"/ "treasure" store! Ribbon from Michael's. Phew! It sure does take a lot of stuff to make a card...! lol...

Spring Challenge # 49 at IDIC

This week our challenge at I Did It Creations is to do a creation inspired by "Spring time". Our sponsor Lexi's Creations and we had the fun of choosing one of her images to work with! There were so many to choose from but I finally settled on Max the Golfer. I never have enough cards done that are masculine and I think all men (and boys)start dreaming about golfing once that snow starts melting!
I colored with my Copics and added a stamp that I found in the dollar bin at Michael's last year. Two different solid card stocks and one designer paper that I have inked around the edges with chalk ink were used. A homemade flower and I was finished!
Go on over to IDIC and check out all of the lovely creations by our talented DT and then give a try at the challenge! Just for entering you may request any image used by the DT for your own by emailing Jeanette at: jeanette_wtrs@yahoo.com What fun! Please mention which DT used the image you are requesting. Easy Peasy! Have a great week! Leave me some lovin' !

Happi Challenge #14 !

This week over at Happileigh Scrappin' Challenge blog we have a new challenge for you. This week our challenge was created by our dt member Barb. She has a recipe for you to follow:
1 solid card stock
2 designer papers
3 embellishments

You may use more embellishments if desired but must have at least 3!
What a fun challenge! I decided to use this sweet Tatters Valentine image to show how it doesn't just have to be used for Valentine's Day! I used a pink cardstock for my background for the image and also punched out a tag using the SU tag punch. I colored my image with my beloved Copic markers and stamped my tag with a retired stamp from SU. I added a few designer papers...(one for covering my card base and one along the right side of the card. I added a ribbon to the tag with a staple and then added one cute charm that I found in a packet at Ollie's for $.99! My flowers were made with a new set of dies I bought from Joyful Crafts at my LSS.
This challenge was a lot of fun as it really made me think about my project and actually giving it some forethought instead of just "free lancing" like I usually do! Go on over to Happileigh Scrappin' and check out all of the creations then give it a try!
I am also entering this into the following challenges:
Aly's Sunday Challenge - Anything Goes
Creative Inspiration - Use an Animal
Crafty Calendar - Spring ( I think all of the pretty pink flowers remind me of spring flowers...)

IDIC "Masking" Challenge!

That's right we are having a technique challenge at I Did It Creations this week!
Let's give 'Masking' a try. It is a little different if you use a digi but it can be done without too much trouble. If you are using a traditional stamp you are almost
unlimited with what you can do using this fabulous technique. If you hop over to our challenge blog, there are two links on how to mask done by two of our team members, Cindy and Gurkiss. Thank you girls! Here is what I came up with using a cute digital image from Robyn's shop called Five Little Froggies. I used a rubber stamp behind the digital. I printed off the frogs image and then the fun began! I printed off another copy of the frogs image the exact same size as the first one.

Then I cut out the extra frogs image on the scrap card stock and covered the first frogs image on the full sheet of card stock. I then stamped the tree onto the card stock and covered image. When I took away the covered image and revealed the bottom image; voila! It took me a few attempts to do it but I do like how it turned out.
Check out all of the wonderful creations done by our design team and then give the technique a try. Remember that you can get a free image to play with for this challenge too! Just email Jeanette at: jeanette_wtrs@yahoo.com with challenge freebie request in subject line. Please include the DT member's name who used the image.
Have a great Sunday everyone!

Two more for D2D!

My first card was done for a challenge at Crafters Digital Art Center. The cupcake was a freebie from D2D just for the challenge there. You needed to use the image with at least 2 different papers like stripes, dots, and plaids, etc. I like how it turned out. The little box next to it was done with the freebie from D2D's progressive challenge this week. I thought it could hold little candies to go along with the birthday card for my daughter who will be another year older this Friday! All papers on this card are from Quick Quotes. My images were colored with Copic markers.

Designed 2 Delight has a DT call right now for 2 more crafters to join their design team.I thought I would do an easel card for their call out.You need to do a card that is new and send it to D2D for their call. I love this cute little bear and thought it would make a great birthday card for my brother who loves to fish! I colored with Copic markers. All patterned papers are from Quick quotes. My vellum sentiment is also from Quick Quotes. The orange card stock is from Michael's as are the small brads.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Creative Craft World - Card for a male ( my second one)
Fresh Brewed Blog - 3 or more patterned papers(both cards)

You are to use purple as your main color.Shades of purple, lilac, lavender...you get the idea! Purple is to be the dominant color. Let's not disappoint Mandy! I used this cute image called "It's Perfect". Isn't it the cutest? It brings back lots of memories from my youth...! I colored with my Copic markers and used dp from Cricut. This paper is from the first year Cricut cam out and you could buy the pads of paper for the 6" x 12" pads. I never did use it all! The ribbon is from Michael's.
