Marshmallow Love...!

I wanted to share a card that I created today using a sentiment from Paulette at Create with TLC. I alos used two different Cricut cartridges. My "love" symbol was done using the Groovy Times cartridge. I just bought it yesterday @ A.C.Moore for $15.00! Couldn't pass it up... LOL. My cute little porcupine was cut out using the Campin' Critters cartridge. He was cut out @ 2 1/2". The "love" symbol was cut out @ 3 1/2". Papers are all from my scraps (love when that is possible!). I free hand cut out some marshmallows, inked the edges with distress ink and popped one up to use as my embellishments. The grass that the porcupine is sitting on was put through my Cuttlebug Divine swirls folder.

When I saw this sentiment at Paulette's the whole card just came together in my mind... There is a challenge this week at Cardz TV to use marshmallows on your creation so that became my catalyst for creating.

Just Hello...

I made this card using a sweet ant and pansy set from Doodle Pantry. It will be a thank you for my friend in Las Vegas who took me all around when I was there last month. The image is already colored so I just had to print it off with the included sentiment. Pretty quick! Check out the challenge over at the Doodle Pantry blog and give it a go!
I leave tomorrow for a well deserved 2 week vacation with my hubby to sunny Florida! Can't wait!

Doodle Me This....

Another week has gone by in August! I can't believe how fast the summer is going... Of course the cute image sets from Doodle Pantry have me already working on some autumn cards...lol! My card was done using one of the new sets at Doodle Pantry called Pumpkin Peeps. This time I used a pre-colored image. Such an easy card to create and sure to give the receiver a smile! Check out all of the sweet new sets at Doodle Pantry and start creating a little sunshine for someone today!

Age...

I wanted to share a card I made for a friends birthday. The image is from a coloring book when I googled "cheese" on the internet. I colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment was found also on the internet when I went searching for sayings for birthdays. Love this little mouse!

How About some "Cuddly Wuddly" ?

Today the challenge at Jellypark Friends is to create a card that shows the "Cuddly Wuddly" side of you! We would like to see those creations that show your images in a loving way! I have used an image of an older couple who you can tell just by looking at it still enjoy those moments...

I colored the image using Copic markers and then added a few embellishments. The genuine article sentiment is a stamp I picked up at Michael's and stamped with a Stampin' Up ink. I doodled around the edges with a black pen. The scalloped piece under it was cut using a Spellbinder die. The paper is from a Girl Scout pack. The 40 sentiment below it is one that comes with the image. Since my Hubby and I will be celebrating 40 years of wedded bliss this coming month I will use this as our anniversary card! The button with twine was added to complete the card. Several different papers from my scrap pile were used in putting the card together. Check out the challenge at Jellypark Friends and then plan on joining in the fun!

My next card is to show the release of one of the two new images. I used another couple image for this one. Check it out...

Once again I colored the image using Copic markers. My card base was covered with yet another scrap paper (I think from Quick Quotes). I used a Spellbinder die to cut out the image and the paper behind it. Another piece of designer paper, some twine, and three hearts punched out using a G Studio heart punch finish this one. The corners of the green paper were punched out using a punch from Stampin' Up. All edges were distressed using Tim Holtz distress tea dye ink.

I had the fun of working with the Pumpkin Peeps set for this release. I used the panda bear and one of the included sentiments for my card:
I used white card stock for my card base and then added some pretty patterned paper for the background. To this I added another black & white paper. Three more layers of paper (black, glitter green and orange) were mounted behind the image which I cut out using a deckled die from Spellbinders.I used a Martha Stewart border punch alongside the green glitter paper to the right of the solid black paper. My image was colored with Copic markers. Three hearts were punched out using a Studio G punch. My paper which the image was printed out was distressed around the edges with Tim Holtz distress tea dye ink. I think this card is perfect for someone who you want to know you are thinking about!
The nice thing about this Pumpkin Peeps set is that it also comes with already colored images to cut your card making time in half! A perfect set for your autumn cards!
