Doodle Me This!

Tomorrow are the new releases over at Doodle Pantry! So...I thought I would share a card that I made with one of January's releases...

This cute little bird is masquerading as a honey bear! How sweet is this?! I used the colored image and then added the sentiment (also from the set) below it. My background was inked with the French Script stamp from Stampin' Up. My flowers were made with dryer sheets and Tattered Angels glimmer spray. I added a little glitter around the edges. Pretty easy layout as I wanted your eye to be drawn to the image. Hope you enjoy it! Make sure and check out Doodle Pantry tomorrow for the new releases. You are going to love them!

Be Mine?

At Lia Stampz this week the challenge is to create a card, or layout for your Valentine. I used one of her new release images to create my card. I didn't use the expected red, pink, and white colors associated with the day but instead went with colors that are a little more "vintage look". The image is called, "Its Secret". I placed a small Martha Stewart punched butterfly on his finger... Here is what I created...

Check out the challenge at Lia Stampz and join in the fun! Have a great weekend everyone! My hubby is taking me away for the weekend in honor of my birthday. Can't wait to relax and have some fun!

Jellypark Time!

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a card I created using one of the new release images from Jellypark Friends. This gardener so brings back memories of my childhood! My Grandmother loved to garden and I have carried the love of gardening on for her. My "Nanny" was wonderful to watch in her garden...planting, weeding and watering. She loved it and taught me the names of so many wonderful, beautiful plants. I still plant lavender by my garden gate as she always told me it would bring good luck to your home! Here is my card...

Check out the challenge this time around which is "Button Up",and see all of the wonderful creations made by the talented DT!

Celebration Time!

Over at Lia Stampz the challenge this time around is to make a card or layout with "celebration" in mind. I used one of the new released images called "Penguin". I also used some Subway Art from TLC creations for the background paper. My image was colored with Copic markers (my "go to" markers).

Check out the challenge at Lia Stampz and join in the fun. You could win this sweet little guy...(no not my husband tho he is cute...) I meant the penguin!

Under the Weather?

Faith over at Delightful Inspirations is starting a new company and blog, "From the Heart". I wish her the best of luck! I love her images and found her once again on Facebook. She has a new sketch challenge going on along with the new site. Here is the sketch:

Here is the card that I created using one of her new images and sentiments. The image set is called "Drenched".

I colored it using Copic and a blue Sakura glimmer pen. Papers are from Recollections (prints) and Stampin' Up (solids). The vellum circle was cut from a piece of junk mail. Yup! It had printing on it too! I ran it through my Cuttlebug using an embossing folder from Paper Studios called Mesh Texture. You can't even see the printing anymore! The hearts were cut using my Cricut and Create a Critter 2 cartridge. The smallest one in front is on a pop dot. I really like how this turned out. I usually have a hard time following sketches but this time I only deterred a little bit with the extra two hearts. Not too bad for me! lol!

Winter Animals!

Did that get your attention? Haha! I wanted to let you all know about the challenge over at Jellypark Friends for the next two weeks. Our challenge is for you to create a card using images of winter animals. Think: penguins, bears, etc. I use a sweet image from Jellypark Friends of a little boy in a penguin costume. Here is my creation:

I used a "Z fold" for the card which makes it into an easel for viewing. Here is a side view of the card...

The card is one sheet of cardstock measuring 11" x 4.25" . It was scored at 5.5" and again at 8.25 with a scorepal. This forms the base of your card. I then covered the outside and back of the card with a blue wave paper from Recollections. My image is mounted on another piece of paper and then on an orange piece of cardstock. I placed another piece of black card stock behind it all before I mounted it to the base. A small notch at the top done with a Stampin' Up punch and I had a place to stick the front of the car so it will stand after opening. My image was colored and shaded using Copic markers. My sentiment is a stamp and then I added a couple of gingham cloth covered brads to finish it off. I also did the inside of the card using white card stock to which I faux stitched around the edges. I stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment in the middle of the card. Another birthday card that I will use during this next year!
Check out the challenge at Jellypark Friends and also check out the release of two darling new images!

In Sympathy

I wanted to share a card that I made using a Doodle Pantry image of poppies. I used the color version of the image and added my text right next to it in Photoshop. I used a white card base and then embossed the front piece of white paper using the dotted Swiss folder and my Cuttlebug. (I love that machine!). A simple red gro-grain ribbon and my card was ready.

This card came together very quickly but yet looks elegant! That is what I love about the image sets at Doodle Pantry. When you don't have time to color and need a quick card it is possible with many of the image sets from Doodle Pantry as they include a color version too. Simply print them off and zip together a card!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all! I also hoped you all said "rabbits" upon awakening this morning! I know I can use all the good luck I can find.
Today I wanted to show you the cards I created using 2 of the new images that Laurie has for sale at Doodle Pantry. The new release is jam packed full of wonderful images, there is sure to be something for everyone.
My first card was done using the new "Olive You" set. I took the olives after printing them and placed them in a martini glass that I created using my Cricut die cutting machine. The sentiment, designer papers, and other olives on the front are also included in this set.

Here is what I created:

I love how it turned out; so I completed the inside too ...

This cute set is FREE with any purchase Jan 1-24 (just add to your cart and checkout/pay for your other products)

My next card is one I did using those gosh darn cute ants that Laurie has (running all over)at her store! I love these ants and the way she has them everywhere! They sure do get around...baking, on computers, in popcorn at the movie, etc.,etc., etc.! This time she has them playing on a ranch I think as they "Saddle up" in these images!

I used the colored images, one of the sentiments, and the great designer papers that come with this set to create my card. A little black ribbon and some brads and my card was done!

Head on over to Doodle Pantry and check out her new images...you are going to love them! There is a sale going on through January 3rd too, 35 % off of your purchase.

The monthly challenge is back again too! I love this challenge and I know you all do too! Enter the challenge using a Doodle Pantry image(not sentiment), and you will be emailed one of the new sets for participating. This month the set you will be emailed is the Turtle Cupid set:
