Jellypark Friends "Old & New"

This time around at Jellypark Friends we have a new challenge for you to finish off the "old" year and herald in the "new"!

Use something old and something new on your craft project - Please make sure you note what the new and old elements are for us!

I am on the team that gets to introduce you to one of the new image releases this time. Claire has created 2 new images that are perfect for the teenagers in your life!

Here is what I have created using the boy image:

I cut out stars using my Cricut die cutting machine. The largest star is also glittered. I embossed the blue background paper using a Cuttlebug stars folder. My image was colored using Copics and the sentiment is from TLC. I printed out the image twic and then cut out the top of the computer and the back of the television and popped them up with pop dots (once colored) to give the card some dimension.
Check out the challenge and all of the wonderful creations done by the rest of the design team at Jellypark Friends. We would love to have you come join on the fun!

A Country Christmas...

Doesn't this wagon wheel just make you think "country"? It sure does to me! I love the thought of a big old ranch somewhere with lots of horses and ranch hands...(cute, "buff" ones...lol!). A girl can dream can't she?! Never too old or too married to "dream"! Any who... I made this card using one of the wagon wheel images from Doodle Pantry that was pre-colored. This card went together fairly quickly as I used two of the papers that come with the set. Only my background paper to cover the card base is from my stash. It is from Recollections. I opened up this set in Photoshop and played around with it until I liked how it looked. The sentiment is from another Doodle Pantry set. My greenery is punched using an EK Success punch. Buttons from my stash as were the rub on jingle bells along the side. I love the look of snow and sure hope we get some for Christmas this year. It was 50 degrees Fahrenheit today... not a good sign for snow! Usually Buffalo, NY has a couple of feet by now! Maybe Al Gore was right about global warming... I could be living in the "Miami of the North" in a few years...haha!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Come & Get It - Merry Christmas

Tag...You're it!

Did that title get your attention? This time around for our challenge at Jellypark Friends we would like you to make a tag! I choose the sweet image of the boy with the reindeer suit on to create my tag. I also used my Artiste cartridge to make the tag that is on top of my reindeer tag. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.
I used white paint and a stamp to create the background piece to my reindeer tag. The paper is from a paper bag!
Here is my tag...

My image was colored with my Copic markers and then I outline the tag with a red marker. I cut both the background and reindeer tag with one of my Spellbinder Nestabilities die sets. A pretty thin green ribbon finished it off.
Check out all of the other darling tags that were done by our DT and don't forget to check out the two new images this time around. (One of them is a tag!)
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Creative Moments - Anything Goes/anything but a Card
Fresh Brewed - Christmas
Sisterhood of Crafters - Stamped background (brown paper was stamped with a snowflake and paint as the medium)
Stampin' Royalty - Christmas/Winter

Blessings to You

I wanted to share a card that I made this weekend using two different images from Doodle Pantry. One of our new releases this month is the bottle set so I used this set for my bottle and sentiment. I took a little liberty with the bottle though and resized it smaller and a little fatter.

I used the Poppy set to create my flowers in the bottle. I love how this turned out! I used the colored image of the flowers and the lined image of the bottle which I hand colored. I think it turned out well. What do you think? I love using photoshop to put these images together! My papers are from my scrap pile and the ribbon was a piece left over from a gift!
Here is my card...

I would love to have you hop over to Doodle Pantry and see all of the yummy sets that are for sale! There is also a sale going on at Doodle Pantry. You can receive 35% off image products from now till January 3rd by entering coupon code 35BLOWOUT. It is a win-win situation for sure!

Happy December!

It is hard to believe that the year has flown right by and we are now in December! I really believe that the older you get...the faster the time seems to go by! When I was a child the year seemed forever...now it seems like a flash of lightening! Since it is the first of December (did you remember to say "rabbits when you woke up?) that means that there is a new release from Doodle Pantry.
I had the good luck to work with one of the new release images called "Trumpet Vine". One of my good friends gave me this same plant this summer and I love it! I thought this would make a great thank you card for him.

As you can see it comes with a lined image and several sentiments...one that I am sure will be perfect for that card you need to create for someone!
Here is my card with the thank you sentiment...

I colored it with my trusty Copic markers. I scored around the image using my Scor-Pal and then colored the score lines with a glitter pen. My vines were made using a die and my Cuttlebug. I found the layout for the card online at Triple J Designs.
I did take a few liberties with the sketch to make it my own but am quite pleased with how it turned out.
Here is a close up of my image...

There isn't a challenge for this month at Doodle Pantry but there's a huge blowout sale at Doodle Pantry from December 1st - 24th: 35% off. And from December 1st - 8th, you receive a free stamp set with any purchase. The free set is Vintage Ornaments.
so why not do some Holiday shopping for the one you love?!
Have a great weekend everyone!
