Ahoy Matey !

Jellypark Friends is sponsoring the challenge this week at Cupcake Inspiration. The DT from Jellypark Friends were invited to join in the fun! Here is the inspiration pic from CIC:
Here is the card I created using one of Claire's great pirate decoupage sheets:
I used some DP from Quick Quotes for my background paper. Baker's twine was wrapped around the orange solid paper which has some mesh attached to it. My image was ripped around the edges and distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink. I stamped the compass on yet another piece of scrap card stock and added a few Tim Holtz brads and washers to finish it off. Check out the challenge at Cupcake Inspiration and have fun creating!

Spotlight Challenge Time !

This week over at Jellypark Friends the image we are spotlighting is this cute image with sentiment perfect for the end of the school year cards...

I used Copics to color him and cut out the sentiment separately to add to the bottom of my card. I then placed him on two different layers of paper and added some baker's twine to the side. This was popped up with pop dots and added to my bottom layers. The base of the card was covered in some pretty paper that I actually bought at the $1 spot at Michael's craft store. I used a piece of kraft lined paper that I cut to size and then used a SU punch to make the note book paper look. Another layer of pretty paper that I bought at a garage sale...(I really have a problem with paper...lol can't seem to get enough!) The sentiment was wrapped around the bottom of that layer and the upper layers attached to it. I really love greens and blues together.

I really love how it turned out! Check out all the great cards done by the DT @Jellypark Friends. Have a great day everyone. This is my last day of school until September...can you say ...HAPPY! My students that I have had for two years will graduate today then I am free for the summer!!! Yahoo!

CDAC Progressive Challenge

I finally had some time to try out the progressive challenge @ CDAC! I was emailed this sweet umbrella image by Nana Vic.

I used Copic markers to color the image and then lots and lots of scrap designer papers from my big old pile! The brad in the flower was a gift from a friend and I placed the image up on pop dots. I love this umbrella and can see a lot of uses for it in my future! Thanks for the great image Vickie!

Marvelously Masculine Challenge

This week at Jellypark Friends our challenge is to create a card that is masculine. I used an image called Granddad and a sentiment from the sentiments set to create this card for my hubby for Father's Day.
The image was colored using my Copics. I used a window punch from SU for the black tabs that run along side the card; adding them with a washer & brad from Tim Holtz. My blue papers are from the $1 spot at Michael's. My floor was made freehand so of course the room is slanted! lol Check out the challenge and join in the fun! Don't forget about your Dads this Sunday! Have a great weekend.

I also created a second card featuring the Grandpa image which I think is adorable! Here it is...
Both of my images can be found over at Jellypark Friends. Come on over and join in the challenge!

Have a Wonderful Day...

I wanted to share a book marker that I made using one of the newly released images from Doodle Pantry. The image is from the set Holy Land Flowers 2

and the sentiment is from another set.
I used my Cricut machine to cut out the bookmark and baker's twine to add to the top of it. All my other papers are from my scrap pile. I embossed the black paper with a Swiss dot embossing folder and even cut out three circles from a part of the paper. To the circles I added the hearts that I punched out of yet another tiny scrap of paper. (I really try to use up all of those scraps...lol). The blue paper I believe is from Stampin' Up. MY image comes already colored so all I had to do was cut it out and distress around the edges with some Slate colored ink. I would love to enter the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday- Anything Goes (They have a lovely sentiment to use or use any uplifting one)

One more look at my book marker...

Happy June !

Hi everyone! Today marks the beginning of another month. Boy has the year ever flown right by! Hard to believe that it is half way gone already! Happy June to all of you. Since this is the first of the month; that means a new set of images over at Doodle Pantry!
I worked with two of the new image sets to create my cards this month. The first set is a new one from the "world Series" representing Canada this time. I used the colored versions found in the set and my Photoshop program to create the following...

This set has lots of beautiful images in it and (since Hubby's family are Canadian) I will find a lot of use for it. A ribbon was added to the left side of the card.
My next card up uses the new "Measure Up" set. This time I colored the images and placed them all in front of a mixing bowl. This is such a fun set and has a lot of sentiments which will make it perfect for a variety of occasions!

My papers are all from my scraps except for the pretty base card which was cut from Stampin' Up paper. I used my Cricut Expresssion to cut out the mixing bowl. Pop dots elevated the sentiment which was cut out using a Fiskars punch. The scallop shape behind the sentiment also uses a punch.Three buttons down the right side finish the card off nicely. This set is a special "LIMITED TIME FREE W/PURCHASE JUNE 1st-24th"- Just add to your cart of other purchases and when you checkout and pay, it will be included free!
Doodle Pantry has a sale going today through June 7th. 25% off of all of the new sets. A perfect time to check them all out and see which ones you would love to own. We also have our monthly challenge going on so be sure to check that out too!
