Critter Challenge

Here is the card I made for the sketch challenge at Critter Sketch Challenge blog. The sketch is as follows...

I used a stamp to make the owl which I colored with both Copics and watercolor pencils. The branch he is sitting on was made by twisting some twine. I love how it turned out! I used a Spellbinder die for the frame behind the owl.
Why don't you go on over and check out the challenge and all of the lovely creations done by the DT?

You're A Classic!

Hi everyone! I made this card for my SIL for her birthday next month. She loves classic cars and she herself can probably now be called a classic! LOL...
I used my Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge and my Cricut Expression die cut machine to make all of the images with the exception of the palm trees. Those were done using my Crocs Rule Cricut cartridge. I really love how this turned out and I hope she likes it too!
The car is popped up using pop dots so it looks like it is traveling down the road. I used Stampin' Up solid card stock for the images. My card base is actually from a package of note cards that were given to me. I always try to "think green" when doing my creating! I have also added a little white gel pen and a glitter pen to help highlight parts of the car.
Jinger Adams over at Scrapbooking Queen is having a design team call and I want to try out using this card as my entry. Fingers crossed...I would LOVE to make the team!

Easter Greetings

I made this card using a sweet image from Jellypark Friends. Easter is slowly creeping up on us and will be here before we know it! I love Easter and egg hunts...going to church and seeing all of the pretty dresses on the little girls and little boys all dressed up! Easter really signifies a new beginning and I love that Spring shows us that new beginning!
I paper pieced the bunny costume and colored the rest with my Copics. Two pieces of paper and a grosgrain ribbon were used for the background. I added some grass that I hand cut and some stems done with my Cricut. The little butterfly is a 3D sticker. I punched out the scallop circles for the sentiment which I hand stamped.I then stitched around the edges of the card.
I would like to enter the following challenges:

Cookin' It Up!

I really am trying to use my Cricut more and found a cute Springtime stamp image that I thought would go perfectly with a die cut from Nate's ABC's. I paired them up together for my card and am very happy with the way it turned out. My sentiment is from Doodle Pantry.
The image was a freebie that I got last year and I really don't know who it belongs to...If you know please let me know so I can give the artist recognition. Thanks! (It is from NanaVic..thanks Marsha!)
The challenge at Cookin' With Cricut is to pair up your die cut with a spring song. All I keep seeing in my mind is "Rain, rain, Go Away"... So some little boy can go and splash in the puddles!
I had to take my photo of the card inside...sorry. The colors are much prettier IRL. We have had rain here all day today and more on the way tomorrow! Welcome Spring!

Jellypark New Release and Challenge!

Claire over at Jellypark has released her new images today so make sure to go over and check them out and see what cute creations the DT has done to showcase them.
It is also our challenge time and the challenge for this round is, "What's The Weather ?"
I chose to work with a sweet image of "Three Rabbits" and created this card for it"

I decided that since Spring seems to be showing her face in my neck of the world I would design a card to celebrate it! Who would believe that in the middle of March it would be 82 degrees in Buffalo, NY? Unheard of!
I colored my image with Copic markers and then fussy cut it out. I uploaded a rainbow clip art from the internet and used a free sentiment to complete my card. I used a Spellbinder die to cut out the image and then I inked the edges to make it seem like the sun.I then used pop dots to raise it up on the card. I really am pleased how it turned out.
I would like to enter the following challenges:

I used two different Cricut cartridges for this card. The bunny was cut using Kate's ABC's and the carrots were cut using Country Life. I also used a Sissix die for the swirls and a Spellbinder die for the sentiment. All in all I do like how it turned out!

My orange spotted dp is from Recollections and the green background from Stampin' Up. The other papers were scraps from previous creations. The sentiment is an old one from Stampin' Up.

Critter Challenge #106

This week our challenge at Critter Sketch Challenge Blog is to "think Green"! Your creation is to be done in all shades of green only in honor or St. Patrick's Day this coming Saturday. Only greens...(maybe a little white too)!
Here is what I did:

My sentiment is by Create with TLC. I love Paulette's sentiments! Papers are from my stash (sorry I don't know what companies...). I used a Stampin Up punch for the flowers and small brads for their centers. A spellbinders die was used for the sentiment.A little inking around the edges of all papers and then a lace flower border to finish up. I know it sounds like a quick and easy card but I really had a hard time thinking green! Sometimes cards go together quickly for me but this wasn't one of those times...lol!
Check out what my great team mates have created for you at the Critter Sketch blog and then plan on going green with us! Have a great Monday everyone and hopefully a wonderful work week...

Jellypark Friends Craft Challenge!

"It's National Craft Month! what is your fave craft product? Technique? Use your faves on your project! Celebrate crafting!"
Yup March is national crafting month and today is a new release at Jellypark Friends. Check out what I have created using the sweet fairy image. I copied it twice; sizing one smaller and flipping it to face the other direction. I used a sentiment by TLC and then printed it all out and colored with Copics and a glitter pen. A Spellbinder die was used to cut it out. My card base was cut using the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge. My designer paper is from a 12 x 12 paper pack of Girl Scout papers. Yup...girl scouts! I only paid $1.00 for a yummy pack of 24 double sided papers from K & co. I found it at Big Lots. Gotta love that store! My feathery looking string is from a ball of yarn that I picked up at the Dollar Tree. Another bargain! It has wonderful silvery threads running through it. I thought it was perfect for this "magical" card. The flower and brad are from my stash.
Check out the challenge and all of the yummy creations made by the DT over at Jellypark Friends!
