Thinking of You

Happy Sunday everyone! The weather has turned a little cooler here today with maybe a chance of rain...but it sure feels better then the 90 degrees we had yesterday! Today I wanted to share a card I made using the Buttercup colored image and papers from Doodle Pantry.
I played around with the single image from the set in Photoshop until I was happy with the middle bunch of buttercups. I then added small images to the upper corners. This was all done by layering the papers and images in Photoshop! I think I am finally getting the hang of using it! The sentiment is from another set at Doodle Pantry. I love the opportunity to mix and match the different digital sets this way. The possibilities are endless! Check out the great sets that Laurie has for sale at her shop. You will be happy that you did and the only problem you will have is deciding which ones you want to purchase first! lol! I am looking forward to her new release of images on the first of June...Can't wait to see what the design team creates with them!

Congratulations!

My brother got married to his long time girlfriend yesterday morning on a beach...I wasn't called as they wanted to surprise the family this holiday weekend! Here is the card I made for the "Love Birds" !
I used my Cricut Expression and the 3 Birds on Parade to do this card. I also used a die to create the vine that comes up from the bottom of the card. The sentiment is from Michael's $1 spot. I added a few rhinestones too. I love how it turned out! I hope they like it too... Mary over at Cardz TV has a challenge going this weekend to create something for a wedding, or wedding shower, etc. ( "Say I Do") So I will link this to her challenge! Have a great weekend everyone and I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful weather! Challenges: Cardz TV- "Say I Do" Crafty Calendar - Things with Wings Just Some Lines - Show us Those Birds

Sketch Challenge at Critter Sketch

Today the challenge at Critter Sketch (#116) is a sketch! Here it is:
We are sponsored for this challenge by Stamp & Create so make sure to check them out! Here is what I did with the sketch...
Yup...Another action wobble card! I adore those little springs...lol! My image was cut using my Cricut and a pie die cut image from the Preserves cartridge. I used a swiss dot embossing folder to do the top of the pie. I then added a Peachy Keen face to it. I love how it comes alive with those adorable faces! My sentiment is an old retired SU stamp that fit perfectly on the pie pan. All of the papers are scraps with the exception of the black card stock which is from Michael's. Check out the challenge and come have some fun! You never know...you may be our next winner! What's Shakin' ?

I wanted to share a card I did today using an image and sentiment from Doodle Pantry. I made this card using an "action wobble" but can't figure out how to shoot it with video from my camera... So; please take my word for it: it really wiggles and shakes! lol! There is still time to get into the challenge at Doodle Pantry! All you need to do is enter the challenge using one of their images. (Free ones at the store if you want to try one out.) Just for entering you will receive a sweet image set for free! Such a "win-win" situation! I used my Copic markers to color my image. Lots of scraps were used in the making of this card...lol!
It was such a beautiful day today that I actually took a picture outside on my front of porch with my garden as the backdrop! What a wonderful weekend it is! I love this time of year the most. Not too hot and not too cold with everything starting to come up and/or bloom in my gardens... What have you been up to this weekend? I hope you have been able to enjoy the weather and perhaps made a little time for crafting. My idea of the perfect day!

Jellypark Get Well!

Hi everyone...Today marks a new challenge over at Jellypark Friends and a new release. I got to work with the new image release. We were given this sweet little girl dressed as a nurse to play with. I just adored her and can think of a dozen different ways to use her. My daughter is a nurse and I think that without the sentiment this little cutie could be used to create a special card for her. Here is my creation:
The image is colored with my Copic markers. I loved the polka dotted paper and knew I wanted to use it. It came from a pack of papers from K & Company.(Girl Scout pack). My other paper is from my scrap pile. The card base is kraft paper. My flowers are from Jolee's Boutique. The big shimmery flower is from another company (don't remember who). The buttons are from my button drawer. (Yup I have a button drawer...lol!) Go on over to Jellypark Friends and check out all of the pretty creations done by the DT with this new image. Also check out the newest challenge: "Use Washi Tape or Other Office Supplies". What a fun challenge! Check out what fun the DT had in creating with those office supplies!

Doodle Pantry May Release!

Laurie over at Doodle Pantry
has outdone herself this month! All of her new releases are so wonderful! Go over and check them out...you won't be disappointed! I chose to work with one of her new sets; "Quirky Shark". What an adorable shark (and I never thought I would put those two words together...lol!) For my first card I colored the image with my Copics. I used some of the yummy digital papers that come with the set. I also used a piece of yellow card stock that was donated to our school by a business. (They used it to print checks on...lol!). The image was cut out using a Spellbinders die. I then inked the edges and added two layers of paper behind it. The yellow paper was faux stitched and then I had fun with another die to make all of the seaweed! The sentiment is also from this set.
For my second card I used the colored version of the sharks and flipped one of them in Photoshop. The papers are from the set but the sentiment is from another set sold by Doodle Pantry. A few "candy dots" and a pretty ribbon and it was finished! There are a lot of sales going on right now at Doodle Pantry to help celebrate this new release too! Right now there is a sale of 30 percent off of all sets in the "Grab Bag".This is a great chance to get those sets you have been thinking about owning!
