Can you believe that Christmas is less than two weeks away? I am not ready at all! How about you? Over at Jellypark Friends we've had such an amazing response to our Christmas Challenge and there are still 3 weeks to go. We hope you join in the fun. For the midway mark I thought I would share a Christmas decorative wooden plaque that I made using the angel image that I transposed onto the plaque and then hand colored. It was a lot of fun!
I used some glitter and puff paints to decorate the plaque after I did the angel.
Come join the fun over at Jellypark Friends and have a wonderful Holiday season.
Paper Possibilities..."Toadily Handmade" A place to come and visit with me and maybe learn a thing or two! So pull up a chair and grab a cup of "Joe" and enjoy your visit! Come back often and see what's new... " But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."

Christmas is Coming...
Did the title "grab you" ? Christmas is coming and in honor of the Holiday Jellypark Friends is hosting a month long Christmas Challenge! Yup...you have all of December to enter our challenge. So...there are no excuses! LOL!
Jellypark also just had a search going on for six new members to our design team so make sure and check them out at the Jellypark blog.
For my creation today I made a card using two of the new images; Gingerbread Boy and Gingerbread Girl. Here is my card:
I also finished the inside of the card using the girl image...
I love these images and the versatility of digital to size however I want the image. My card base is Kraft paper. I used an old card for the ornament and ribbon (yes I am one of "those" people who keep anything I think I can create with). The images were colored with Copic and Promarkers. I added a little puff paint to the white piping on the cookies. A Martha Stewart punch was used for the leaves. My papers are from my stockpile so don't know what company they are from...
Check out the challenge and get in the Christmas spirit. We are shopping today (Black Friday) and then getting our tree up! Can't wait...how about you?

Mom...
I found a sketch that one of my friends did on her blog and I knew I wanted to try it...so here goes! The sketch is the C'est Magnifique November Sketch.
It looks like this: Here is my finished page...I used a self made stencil to do the "block" look on the paper with Tim Holtz distress ink. I used some Tattered Angels to spray blue and orange on parts of the paper. I also copied my friend Nancy's cute banner by sewing it together on my sewing machine and attaching it to brads. The fence was cut out with my Cricut and then embossed with a Cuttlebug branches folder. I used a wide ribbon and some fun raffia type ribbon on top of it. I made a tag to add my journaling to with a white gel pen. Assorted flowers from my stash, brads, and pearls round it out. I had the hardest time trying to figure out how to place it all but am happy with the results.
My Mom's birthday was November 15th and I wanted to do this page in her memory. She passed away in 1998 and I am so thankful for the time we shared together... She was such a cute child and I can see such a strong resemblance in several of my siblings and their children.

Giving Thanks...
There is a new challenge at Jellypark Friends this fortnight. Giving Thanks/Happy Thanksgiving. I have chosen to work with the new darling scarecrow image to create a birthday card for my son. Yup...I said a birthday "thank you" card...you did read that right! Here is the card I created:
I used red card stock to place behind the image. The scarecrow was colored using both Copic and Promarkers.I then popped it up on a piece of tan card stock and ran some butchers twine around the whole thing. I adhered it down to the card front then, and added a piece of washi tape. Some faux stitching around the image came next. The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry.I added three black buttons along the top left side of the card to give it some balance. Now the reason for the thankful card? I am thankful every day for my son as he was a gift from God. I had had numerous miscarriages , gone to a specialist, found out the problem, prayed a lot and then God saw that I needed a son. He gave me such a gift when He gave me Thomas! Here is my son today...
I thank my Lord every day for my son!

Over at Doodle Pantry you can find a challenge that runs from the 1st of each month through the 24th or so of the same month. Just for entering and using one of their images you will receive a nice bonus! I chose to use a darling frog image of theirs and one of the sentiments that comes with the set. I made a sticky note

ABC...
Challenge time at Jellypark Friends and this time our challenge is as easy as A-B-C ! It is our Anything But a Card challenge. I used the cute boy in airplane image to make a 3 dimensional gift card holder perfect for a young lad. I also recycled an empty pretzel container to turn it into a "snow globe". Here is my creation...
My jar was turned upside down with the top becoming the bottom and the bottom becoming the top.
I placed a piece of paper inside the jar to act as the backdrop "sky". My image is fussy cut and then I used clear acetate to suspend it from the (what is now) the top of the jar. On the bottom of the jar I created a little scene using trees and a house cut out from 2 different Cricut cartridges. These were then taped to the bottom of the jar and some shredded paper placed over them. The house was backed with another piece of paper that was glued only around the edges to be able to hold a gift card. Once I finished the bottom it was as easy as ABC to close the top and bottom together! Voila! Globe is finished!
Check out all of the other neat creations at Jellypark Friends and then be sure to join in the fun!

PINKTOBER
It's new challenge time at Jellypark Friends and we are very proud to support Pinktober this month. So we want to see LOTS and LOTS of pink on your projects. That's the only rule, pink has to be the main color :o).
In support of Pinktober we have a new Charity Stamp which I have used on my first creation.
The papers are from my stash. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies, and Copics to color the image. The stamped sentiment is from Michael's craft store. I thought it was perfect for Pinktober! All proceeds from the sale of this flower ribbon goes towards Breast Cancer Awareness.
For the month of October, you may also purchase a watermark with the proceeds going to charity. These are very sweet and simple watermarks that you can add to all of your photos you'll be publishing on your blog or anywhere on the web. All of the proceeds of these watermark sales will be going towards breast cancer awareness.
My second creation is another card that I made using pink as the primary color for our challenge...
Isn't that image just the sweetest ever? I colored using my Copics once again. Here is a photo of the completed card...
I fussy cut out the image after coloring it and used pop dots under it to bring some dimension to the card. I placed the image on an oval cut with my Spellbinder Nestibilities Die..My papers are from my stash once again. I used a pretty ribbon that I bought @ Michael's. The buttons were from Joanne's Craft store. The sentiment is from a stamp set from Artistic Impressions. I used embossing powder when I stamped it to give it a nice finish. It looks a little raised in real life!
Check out the challenge and come join in the fun!
P.S. I am super excited as a card that I did for Jellypark Friends was just released in a magazine in England! Once I receive the mag I will show off the pics! Yahoo!
Have a safe, happy weekend everyone!

Amazing...
I love this image by Doodle Pantry and wanted to share it as this is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Have all of you ladies done a breast exam? Are you due for a Mammogram? It is very important that you get yourself checked out! Right now I have two very dear friends who are battling with breast cancer. Not a day goes by that I don't have them in my prayers...
I colored my image using Copic markers. The paper it is on is some that I bought at a garage sale so not sure of its humble origins...lol! The gems are from the $1 spot @ Michael's. (By far my most favorite store.)
Right now Doodle Pantry has a challenge going on so this card is headed that way! I would also like to enter the following challenges:

Chomp...!!!
I fooled around with one of my Cricut Cartridges, "Crocs Rule" when I found this piece of designer paper. I mean if anything was ever meant to go together...it is this paper and this image!!! What do you think?
I created a card from a tag...here is the inside...
I also used a action wobble on the gator. It is too cool! While I was on a roll and still had a piece of the paper left; I did another card...
I love this gator and am sad that I don't have anymore of the "chomp" paper left... Oh well!

The Sentiment is Key !
This time around the challenge at Jellypark Friends is to make the sentiment on your creation the focal point. We want it to be the star! Here is what I created with that in mind...
I can't help but smile at that sentiment. I can remember my sister Lynda always singing that song to all of our children and making them smile! I used my Cricut die cutting machine to cut out the sun and then used a stamp for the face. I used white card stock for the base of my card. Over the card stock I added a piece of DP that I bought at a yard sale. My sentiment was printed out large, then a button added to the middle of the sun design on it. I used a pale yellow card stock and a glitter yellow paper to back it with. My other #1 paper was cut out from a piece of designer paper. A pretty easy card to create but I love the overall effect. Check out all of the lovely creations at Jellypark Friends and then try your hand at the challenge! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Easel Card Birthday Fun!
I tried my hand at an easel card and created a birthday card using a Doodle Pantry image. Here it is...
Isn't he the cutest little dino ever?! I used solid paper from Stampin' Up for the turquoise background. I ran it through my Cuttlebug embossing folder to get the sweet bubble effect. My D.P. is a scrap. My sentiment comes with the dino set. My Happy Birthday sentiment is from the dollar bin @ Michael's. I used n edge punch from Fiskar's to get the bubble border on the Happy Birthday piece of paper. The green leaves and vine swirl is from a die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs. Here is another shot of the card...
From this view you can see the way I folded my white card stock. A few cuts and a few folds and the easel card was ready to decorate!
I will send this to a special little boy on his birthday...!
I am entering the following challenges:
Natalie & Amy: Challenge 12 - Embossing
Crafter's Companion - Embossing
A Creative Romance - Punches and/or dies
Digitally Sweet - Anything Goes

Thanks...
I had fun making this card today. I played with some of my stamp sets and my Cricut Artiste cartridge. I like the way it turned out. My orange ribbon flower is from October Morn. My green lattice type ribbon I have had for ages... I used Stampin' Up inks to do the pumpkin (real rust & old olive). The edges of the scallop circle were inked with Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink. I made the corner guard out of scrap paper and inked the edge with Copic marker. Pretty simple but effective I think... What do you think?

All About the Kids
This week @ Jellypark Friends our challenge is to make something for or with children on it.
I have used a sweet image of a young lad fishing. The sentiment is a stamp. I made my card using a Nestabliities Die and cut it out 3 times. The first time I folded my white card stock in half and placed the die a little bit above the fold so that it made a card that opened. The next two times I used different design paper.
After I colored the image I placed it on solid blue card stock. I then took the circle card and added the different coloed papers to the front and inside. I then folded the top front layer in half to make an easel card. On the inside I added a decorative brad to the middle to create a place for my front of card to "hold on to" and stand up when opened.
Check out all of the new creations over at Jellypark Friends and then try your hand at the chllenge!
I would like to enter the following challenges:

Doodle Pantry Delicious!
Another new month and another new release from Doodle Pantry. This month Laurie has outdone herself! There are Halloween, Christmas and everything in between releases! I had the joy of working with the new release entitled "Jingle Ants". This set will be given away free to all participants in the monthly Doodle Pantry challenge this month! All you need to do is use a Doodle Pantry image. You can check out the challenge here. The special stamp set "free with purchase" for Sept 5th thru Sept 24th is 'Pumpkin'. There are two absolutely beautiful pumpkin images.
Here is what I created using one of the lined images and a sentiment:
My solid paper is from Stampin' Up. I colored the image with my trusty Copic markers. The sentiment was cut out using a Spellbinder Die. The ribbon and glitter buttons were a present from my girlfriend in a goody trunk she made up for me last Christmas.I liked doing this Christmas card in untypical Christmas colors. Check out all of the new releases and then check out the challenge too!
This is my last month with Doodle Pantry as it is time to "step down" and make way for some new faces and talent... I will miss my team but I will become a regular in the monthly challenges!!! lol!

Meds anyone?
I made this card for my girlfriend's birthday. The sentiment is another great one from Create with TLC. I made the card using a bunch of paper scraps that I cut out using a circle punch from Stampin' Up. I think it turned out great and it was fun to use the different scraps!
I hope everyone has a good day tomorrow on Labor day. My Dad had a heart attack last night, and fell breaking his hip. Taken to the hospital by ambulance. Went up to see him today and they have him on blood thinners for the heart attack, loritab for the broken hip pain. They want to wait to see how his heart is before they do his hip. My Dad is 92 so I don't think he would survive the surgery... It is in God's hands now.... Say a prayer for him please and for whatever God's plan is for him.

Marshmallow Love...!
I wanted to share a card that I created today using a sentiment from Paulette at Create with TLC. I alos used two different Cricut cartridges. My "love" symbol was done using the Groovy Times cartridge. I just bought it yesterday @ A.C.Moore for $15.00! Couldn't pass it up... LOL. My cute little porcupine was cut out using the Campin' Critters cartridge. He was cut out @ 2 1/2". The "love" symbol was cut out @ 3 1/2". Papers are all from my scraps (love when that is possible!). I free hand cut out some marshmallows, inked the edges with distress ink and popped one up to use as my embellishments. The grass that the porcupine is sitting on was put through my Cuttlebug Divine swirls folder.
When I saw this sentiment at Paulette's the whole card just came together in my mind... There is a challenge this week at Cardz TV to use marshmallows on your creation so that became my catalyst for creating.

Just Hello...
I made this card using a sweet ant and pansy set from Doodle Pantry. It will be a thank you for my friend in Las Vegas who took me all around when I was there last month. The image is already colored so I just had to print it off with the included sentiment. Pretty quick! Check out the challenge over at the Doodle Pantry blog and give it a go!
I leave tomorrow for a well deserved 2 week vacation with my hubby to sunny Florida! Can't wait!

Another week has gone by in August! I can't believe how fast the summer is going... Of course the cute image sets from Doodle Pantry have me already working on some autumn cards...lol! My card was done using one of the new sets at Doodle Pantry called Pumpkin Peeps. This time I used a pre-colored image. Such an easy card to create and sure to give the receiver a smile! Check out all of the sweet new sets at Doodle Pantry and start creating a little sunshine for someone today!
