Faith sent us the cutest image of a cat for this week's progressive challenge at Designed 2 Delight. Here it is:
And over at Double Delight (the sister challenge) we were given instructions to use summer colors on our creation. This is what I came up with:
I used my Spellbinder scalloped circle to cut out the image and the circle behind it. Papers are from We R the Memory Keepers and DCWV. I used Copic markers to color the image. A Martha Stewart punch was used to cut the butterflies and I used a glitter pen to outline the butterflies and dot the inner circle on the flower. All in all: a very summery feel to the card I think! What about you? Leave me some lovin'
Paper Possibilities..."Toadily Handmade" A place to come and visit with me and maybe learn a thing or two! So pull up a chair and grab a cup of "Joe" and enjoy your visit! Come back often and see what's new... " But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."

Wedding Congratulations
I made this card for my sister in law who is a widow and is getting married today! My brother passed away 20 years ago and my sister in law has always remained close to our family and kept her children (our niece and nephew) very close to us. I love her deeply for that and she is indeed like a sister to me! Today we are going to her wedding reception! She finally got remarried and we couldn't be happier! I wish for her a very happy future and know that she will always be a part of our family! We love you Cindy and are happy to welcome your husband Johnny into our family!
Spooky Greetings!
Here is the first of my Halloween cards. I used a digital image that I got from Make It Crafty over at CDAC. This was a free image! My papers are from the $1 spot at Target (last year!). The greeting is also from Make It Crafty.I combined the image with the tree and haunted house that I cut out using my Cricut and the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I colored the image using Copi markers and added some glitter to the shadow across the moon. What a fun image! Leave me some lovin'

MPS Hop and Back to School!
Michelle Perkett Studio is in the midst of a blog hop right now. I checked it out yesterday and loved what I saw! Check it out here They are also having a challenge right now to do a "back to school" creation. This is what I did using their Mary Margaret image. I just knew that with a name like that she had to be Irish! LOL! Hence the red hair on my image! I used a retired SU stamp for my tag. The brads I picked up last year at Big Lots. It's amazing what can be found there! I used my Spellbinder die to cut out Miss Mary Margaret. Paper was in my stash. I like the way this card turned out and I hope you do too!
P.S. This card could also be used for a birthday card and heaven knows I always need those (coming from a family of 7 siblings with lots of nieces and nephews!) Leave me some lovin'
Scarecrow Wishes
Another card done with the digital stamping technique that my friend Pat has up on CDAC! This time I've used two different images from Doodle Pantry. Scarecrow Birdie which can be found here, and the sentiment from Balloon Ants. I love that about Laurie's sets! You can use just what you need and mix and match from the different sets! It's like getting endless sets! I made this card for my husband who is celebrating his birthday today! Next on my list is making his cake this morning. Yesterday my son and I shopped for his present. Today is party day! All of our family will be over tonight to help him celebrate. Life doesn't get any better than this! Happy Birthday Bud, I love You!

D2D Monkeying Around!
Look at this cute image that was given by Faith to me from Designed 2 Delight this week! This is a progressive challenge with you getting a new image each week after you do the previous weeks' challenge. I used the sketch from Double Delight and added the requested ribbon, string or twine also. My card has both ribbon and twine. Don't you just love the little pearl fish I used?! I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the pink layer and then used two different stamps for the corners. My image was colored using Copic and Sharpie markers then a glitter pen for the shine on the water.I used glimmer mist on my white card base to change it to this shimmery color. I wasn't sure if I liked the card after I put it together but after photographing it and seeing it in the picture; I guess it is OK. Not my best but it will do! I am also entering this in Digital Tuesday where the challenge is to have water in your card. Tell me what you think and have a super day! Tomorrow is my Hubbys' birthday!
Birthday Birdies!
I used the stamp technique for this card. I used to use a template to do the stamp squares but thanks to my friend Pat I was able to do this all in Microsoft Word! This is an awesome technique and great for using your digital images! Thanks Pat! Her tutorial for this technique can be found here. After you check out the technique why not go on over to Pat's blog and check it out. She is one talented lady! I made this card for a birthday coming up. The birthday flower is from The Cutting Cafe. My sweet birdie images are from Doodle Pantry!

Roses for Farewell...
This image is one of Doodle Pantry's newest. Isn't it pretty? Perfect on birthday, wedding or "thinking of you" cards!I used a Martha Stewart edge punch to punch along one side of the card and then slipped some blue cardstock behind it. My image is colored with Copic markers. The buttons are from Walmart.I believe that the paper is from the dollar spot at Target.

Vee's Sketch Pad Challenge
I haven't done Vee's sketches for a while! I have been so busy and never seemed to find the time. A poor excuse I know; but when you are on design teams you kind of get "blinders" on to what is happening everywhere else on the internet! Anyway...back to my card! I really don't know where I received this darling image so if anyone knows will you please let me know so I can give "props" to whoever created it?! I took one look at this cutie and knew she had to be a redhead! lol! I have a niece who is a redhead and boy she is everywhere and into everything constantly! Perpetual motion! My image was colored with Copics. The DP is from We are the Memory Keepers. The flowers are: bottom layer~silk, top layer:~ Prima. The ribbon is from Michael's. The rhinestones and brads are also from Michael's.

Aloha!
This Hawaiian girl image is from Michelle Perkett Studio and she was a freebie! I think she is just adorable! I used to different dp's for the background paper. Both are from Miss Elizabeth's. A piece of green Coredinations and some yellow card stock complete the paper used on this card. I colored the image with Copic markers. My flower is made from Primas. I added some color to the bottom layer and added a button and floss to the top of flower.
I am going on vacation tomorrow and won't be active for a whole week on my blog! Yikes! But I am trying to get together a couple of auto posts so it won't seem like I am away too long! So... Aloha everyone until we meet again!

Designed 2 Delight Challenge and Double Delight too!
This week we were given this cute image of a Teddy Bear from Designed 2 Delight. Double Delight had a sketch to follow for their challenge this week. I turned the sketch on its' side. This is a progressive challenge from D2D. The first week of every month Faith puts up an image for you to grab for free. If you do a creation with that image, you are sent the following weeks' image from Faith. If you don't have chance to get the image you can go to D2D store and buy it. For my card, I have used papers from K & Company. My card base is from AC Moore. I used gems from the dollar spot at Michael's and used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies. Prima flowers and punches from SU round out my embellishments. I also cut out a heart from cardboard, peeled a layer and then colored it with Copics.Leave me some lovin' and have a great weekend!

Michelle Perkett Studio DT Call
Michelle Perkett Studio is in the midst of a DT call until August 15th. If you go to her blog you will receive this cute image as a freebie to make a card for the DT call. Here is what I did:
I punched out my own flower from a piece of paper from a book and then used Tattered Angels spritz inks to age and color it a bit. The inner flower was punched from a shimmery envelope ( I use everything...think green!). I masked the birthday cake image and stamped a background around it using a retired SU stamp. I colored the image using both Copic and Sharpie markers. My paper is both co'ordinations for the solid piece and a piece of Sandy Lion DP that I have had in my stash for years. I decided to do a little something out of the ordinary with the finished image so I "off set" it on the card to make it really pop out! I hope "you all" like the finished product! I do!

Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge #8...Tag, You're It!!
The challenge this month at Clearly Delightful Challenge Blog is to: Use a tag somewhere on your project, ANY kind of tag... for sentiment, embellishment, or a large tag for a base, whatever you wish.
My card is done with a brand new release from Doodle Pantry showcasing those fun little ants! This is called "Book Ants" and the set comes with 2 different images and 5 sentiments for the amazing price of $3.00! Check it out here:
For the inside of my card I used "Thinking Ant" and he's a Freebie over at Doodle Pantry! I made one big tag (or book mark as I like to call it!) and placed it on the front of the card in a little "pocket" I made for it using the Book Ants image. The book mark can be slid out and used by your "reader" and hopefully give them a fun way to keep their place in their book! I used a Martha Stewart lattice punch for the top of the green card stock. I used some cool DCWV designer paper for both the bookmark and the inside of card. Why don't you give the challenge a try? The prize this month is ALL of the August releases! How's that for an incentive?! Also you will receive a free digi image just for playing along! Go on over to Clearly Delightful and check out all the great images and see what all of the other DT have created! The challenge closes on August 19th so you have plenty of time to "just do it"!Have a great Thursday everyone!

Designed 2 Delight Challenge Fun!
This week at Designed 2 Delight we were given this cute snowperson to create with! Faith sent this out to everyone who participated last week in her progressive challenge. If you didn't participate; you can pick up this "cutie" at her shop. She is called,"Heartfelt Wishes".The challenge this week is Christmas in July...August! Over at Double Delight the challenge using this image is to make your own embellishments. I made the flower on my card using an old envelope that had shimmer and a punch. I added the cardboard circle to complete it. I stamped another cardboard piece with the sentiment(SU). I used a sketch from Dareu2digistamp ~sketch 43. My background paper is from the dollar spot at Target. I think it was valentine's day paper but I loved the colors and thought it would still work for a Christmas card for a "sweetheart". I used my dotted swiss embossing folder on the green piece of card stock and "faux" stitched around the pink piece of card stock. I think I have found my "Zone" for creating... I like this card and I believe I am a "less is more" kind of creator. What do you think?

Stamp n Doodle Winner!
I won the challenge last week at Stamp n Doodle! How awesome is that! There's just something about winning...Don't you feel it? Anyway... On to this week's challenge. It's called, "Anything Goes". They also supplied this cute little guy (Freebie!!!) for you to use. I named him "Scuba Steve"! I used the negative part of a Nestabilities die for the frame around him. I colored him with Copic markers. Why not go on over and give it a try!

Have a "Bug" Birthday!
I have had this digital stamp for a while and am not sure where I downloaded it from. If you recognize it please let me know so I can give "props" for it. Isn't it so cute? My oldest sister Marcia had a lime green "bug" just like this! I knew I had to make the car lime green just for that reason! I used Copics and Sharpies to color it. The papers are all from DCWV. I sewed around the layers with white thread and didn't like how it looked (too washed out) so I went over the thread with a sharpie marker. I am liking it now! The car image and frame around it were cut with Spellbinders dies. The sentiment is another digi from "out there somewhere..." Let me know what you think...OK? Have a great August everyone! I am trying to get over a sinus infection before I fly next week... Wish me luck!
I am entering this in the following challenges:
One Stop : Patterns
Paper Play Challenges : Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations Challenge : Anything Goes
