This week at Card Ideas the challenge is to make a Winter/Christmas bird card/project with a bird somewhere on your project. I did one better and used a whole flock! lol!
TOP:
I used an old watch case that my son's Relic watch came in for my case. I covered the top with scrap designer paper from Pizazz and added some Tim Holtz tape around the outer edges to give it a nice finish. Then I colored the image, "For the Birds Snowman" with my Copics and used some puff paint for the flocking on his coat. This I then cut out and placed on the front of the case. I used my label maker to print out the name of the game.
I also added the same paper to the inside bottom of the case to give it a more finished look.(Had to make it look like it belonged with the top!)
Game Pieces:
For my game pieces I just enlarged that image of the bird in the snowman's gloved hand a whole bunch of times. These I colored with my Copics doing two of each color for a color matching game. Then I cut these out using an SU punch and then placed on circle cut with my Cricut. I then laminated them in my Laminator and cut them out!
Phew...! Sounds like a lot of work but it was pure fun! I love when the old brain cells start to "kick in" and your creativity is there again!
Thanks for giving me this fun chance to design for your challenge Faith! I had a blast and the bonus? I have one gift down for Christmas and only 267 more to go! haha!
I am entering this into the following challenges:

Come back often and see what's new... " But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect."

Yup! It is time to get another "hit" of my weekly addiction! The images at Designed 2 Delight are just like an addiction to me! I need to get my "weekly fill"! lol! How's that for a reward? She sure is my enabler! lol!
I have colored this with Copics and Promarkers. I printed it off twice and then cut out the bullfrog and one butterfly and popped them up with pop dots to give this a little more of a 3D effect. Two for TLC
I got around to making a few cards today using different "stuff" I got from TLC. My first card has a sentiment from there and the little pig I down loaded from Elizabeth Dulemba. She is a very talent illustrator for childrens' books. You can find her site at: www.dulemba.com When I found this little pig, she reminded me of Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. This sentiment from Paulette was a perfect match for that fabulous pig! I made this for my niece's birthday. She turned 12...Where has the time gone? It really does speed up as you get older...Yuck! My second card was done using this precious little baby that was on TLC some time ago. It is titled,"ready for Bed Vintage~digitized by TLC". I uploaded it and knew that I would have to make something with it! I couldn't resist! I don't have anyone to give it to now, but I am sure I will need it in the future... I used my Scor-Pal to do the lines around the edge of the white cardstock. I would like to enter the following challenges with one or both of my cards:
Crafty Catz- children's card. (both)
Card Makin' Mamas- Spring color cards (my 2nd one looks very pastel and "springlike" to me
Bloggers Challenge- Ribbons & lace (my first card was done with a MS punch that looks like lace)
Delicious Doodles - Anything Goes
Inspire Me Friday - Anything Goes

Wedding Challenge
This week the UK is readying itself for the event of the year, the Royal Wedding on April 29th celebrating the marriage of Prince William & Kate Middleton. They even have a special Bank Holiday in it's honor!
In honor of this occasion, Happileigh Scrappin' Challenge blog is challenging you! We want to see lots of wedding cards, but with a twist. The Royal Family are renowned for their Crown Jewels so we would like to see you add some jewels to your card. The card can be in any colors but it needs to have some bling on it to make it suitable for Royalty!
I have use this new digital image from Leigh made especially in honor of Kate & William.
I colored the image using both Prisma and Copic markers. I went online and googled clip art for the horse and buggy. (gotta love Google!)I also got the crown off of a clip art site. I used paper from my stash for the design paper and then added some "jewels" for the bling. The rhinestones are from the $1.00 spot at Michael's.
Go and check out our challenge at Happileigh Scrappin'. Check out all of the wonderful creations by our DT made to inspire you! Have a great Monday all!

Challenge Cards
My first card is for a color challenge at CDAC using an image from Doodle Pantry which was a freebie with the challenge. I did a tri-fold card(I think that's what it's called...). The card opens in the middle. I used dp from my scraps to cover the card stock. The image is colored with Copics and I added Stickles to the brim. Flowers were added with some leaves for the 3D effect. Then the image was mounted on yellow cardstock that I edge punched with a EK Success punch. I like how it turned out! It has a "summer" feel about it! lol!
My next card is my entry for the progressive challenge over at Delightful Inspiration using a sweet digital image by Faith of Designed 2 Delight. She has delighted me again! Such a sweet image! Thank you Faith! I also want to thank her for this progressive challenge which gives me the chance to get these wonderful images free just for participating week to week!
My card was colored with Copics and Prismacolor markers.I added stickles to the centers of the flowers. I used ribbon to place on the card, purple cardstock behind the image and a corner punch for the image. I used the same yellow cardstock as above for the base of this card.

Happileigh Sketch Challenge
This week Stef got to choose our challenge at Happileigh Scrappin' and she went with this very neat sketch! Thanks Stef! My card is done using images from 3 different digital stamp sets. What fun to mix and match! I used a pre-colored image for both the girl and the row of butterflies. The other butterflies I chose to color myself. I embossed my background paper using my Cuttlebug. Two pieces of chipboard are used to anchor my butterflies on the right side. I lightly chalked their edges using a chalk ink from Studio g. All of this was then placed on a plain white card that I cut from card stock.
Go on over to Happileigh Scrappin' and see what my Happi Sisters have created for you.

Doodle Pantry 5th of Month Challenge
Another month has gone by already and it is time for another challenge at Doodle Pantry! This challenge on the 5th of each month is to be done with a Doodle Pantry image. That is the only stipulation. I used a sweet image called Apple Snack. I embossed the image with the "Tiny Mosaic" Cuttlebug folder after it was colored with my Copic markers.I used kraft paper for the background on an A2 card. I also embossed the top half of the kraft paper with the "Branches" folder. I added twine and a button to the bottom for the final touch. I really am a CAS kind of person and like to let the images take center stage.
I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Doodle Pantry#11 - Use a Doodle Pantry image
Our Daily Bread - No Ribbon
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - Clean and Simple
The Stamp Man Challenge - Embossing
Weekly Challenge at IDIC
This weeks challenge is being sponsored by JLJ Designs.
The challenge theme this week is Sing A Song - a card based on a song at I Did It Creations.
To enter the challenge please go to the Challenge blog for all the details.
My card is made using two different images from the Inchies set. I used brighter colors of card stock for a summer beach feeling. My song is an oldie but a goodie...
"Summertime...and the living is easy... Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high..." For some reason this song makes me thing about the lazy days of summer and where better to spend your lazy days then at the beach?! lol! I colored the images with those good old Copic markers and added a scrap piece of DP behind the boat for the effect of the setting sun.A EK Success border punch was used for the bottom of the card, the sentiment was hand printed, and then I was finished!
Go on over to IDIC and sing along with our DT.Check out all that they have created for you then jump right in and join the challenge!

My term is almost up for Critter Sketch Challenge blog. It is so hard to believe. I have had a blast on the design team! I am applying for a second term by using this cute digital image from Robyn's Fetish for my "application". The sentiment on the image is from TLC and I used my
word" program to place it on top of the watering can. My image was colored using my beloved Copic markers. I love those markers! The card stock is from a pack I bought at Big Lots. The designer paper is from Sandyland. I used a corner punch for the image and then a chalk pad to distress around the edges.
