Happy February 1st everyone! It is hard to believe that it is already February...Where does the time go?! Since it is the 1st of February there is another new release at Doodle Pantry ...and it is full of wonderful images! I worked with a new set called,"Vintage Plate Setting". It is just a great set. If you are planning a party or just having a get together this set would be perfect for your invitations.
I cut out the image using one of my Nestibility dies. It was then colored with my Copic markers. I added some ribbon, rick rack and a few flowers to finish it off! My background paper is from Quick Quotes.

Winter Wonderland Challenge
This week at Jellypark Friends the challenge is all about "Winter Wonderland". We want to see snow, snowflakes, etc. I chose this darling new penguin image from the new images to use. Isn't it darling with that hat? (I always was a sucker for penguins...lol!) I used puff paint to do the "snow" and to do the 2 big snowflakes (cut with my Cricut. I added a rhinestone center to the snowflakes. All coloring was done with my Copic markers.I printed the image in two different sizes and then popped up the smaller one on pop dots.I used a really cool design paper for the background and then black card stock.
Check out the challenge at Jellypark Friends and all the yummy creations that have been done by the D.T. then join in the fun!
Have a great Friday everyone!!!

Critter Challenge
This week our challenge at Critter Sketch is: a 3 embellishment challenge. You are to use 3 different embellishments on your creation. I chose to use rhinestones, ribbon and a button. My image is from Robyn's Fetish and is called "Bella da Snowlady". I also made a round card by cutting with the "Elegant Edges" cartridge with my Cricut.
The image was colored with Copic markers and then cut out using a Nestibility die. I inked around the edges using Tim Holtz distress ink and then popped a sweet heart shaped rhinestone on the snow lady's hat. Two layers of patterned paper and then a bow with a button(to which I added purple floss) finish it off!
Check out all of the other DT creations at Critter Sketch and then "embelly up"! lol!
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Whimsical Wednesdays - Anything Goes

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N !
The card I made today for Doodle Pantry uses images from two different image sets. My armadillo is from the "Quirky Armadillo" set along with the sentiment. The suitcases are from the "Vintage Auto" set. Both are already colored. How easy is that! What I loved about these images is that they color coordinated with each other so making my card was a snap! I sized and placed the images where I wanted them with Photoshop and then printed them out.I stitched around the top layers of my card with my sewing machine and then added some butcher's twine to accent the corners. I used a punch to do he border along the bottom of the white paper. All of my papers are from my scrap pile. I love using my scrap pile...lol!
I love how it turned out. (Now I am just waiting for someone I know to go on vacation...lol!)
Check out the wonderful images that Laurie has for sale at Doodle Pantry! Have a great week everyone...

Do You Doodle?
Do you Doodle...Doodle Pantry that is!? Right now there is a challenge going on at Doodle Pantry and the only stipulation is that you must use a Doodle Pantry image. That is an easy one as there are tons of cuties at the store to buy and even some freebies to try out! Just for entering the challenge you will receive the cute set above with workout birdie! Check out the challenge and give it a go!
I made my card using an image and sentiment from the Vintage Auto set. I thought this would be a perfect card to put aside for sometime in the near future as I have lots of friends who are "classics" ! lol!
Colored with Copics and galaxy gel pens. Paper from Quick Quotes.

CDAC Progressive Round 10
I can't believe that we are already on the 10th challenge round for the progressive challenge! The time is flying by! (I think that does happen as you get older...lol!)
This round the challenge is " Bringing in the New Year". I was given an image from Stamp4Joy to work with. Such a cute 2012 Sentiment it is too! It reminds me of a great big sunflower or a wonderful sunrise! Either way...I love it! I have paired it up with a vintage image of the "big band" from TLC Creations.
Go and check out the challenge at CDAC. If you are new to the challenge there is a "buy in" starting up cost which is very minimal. Then you do at least 2 of the images and the next time around the images will be free to you! Give it a try!

Jellypark Challenge!
This is my first post as a design team member for Jellypark Friends and I am excited to show you my creation! We were given our choice of two new images to work with and I chose to work with "Girl in the Warm Winter Coat". I reversed the image in Photoshop and then colored her up.
The challenge is to "Make a Pocket Card".
My card has the pocket on the outside of the card with room to write or place an additional sentiment on the inside of the card.
Check out all of the lovely creations made for you at Jellypark Friends and then join us! We would love to see your creativity!

I Adore You!
I did my card using an "oldie but goody" from Doodle Pantryand a freebie image from there as well. My bowl is from the Beta Fish and Bowl set and the fish is from the free set called Finny Fish. I love combining images from all of the different sets that Doodle Pantry has to work with...such fun! My sentiment was a freebie from somewhere out in digiland...I just don't recall where. If I remember I will add it to this post.
I used a colored image for the fish and colored the bowl and "stickled" the bubbles.
I would like to remind everyone of the challenge going on at Doodle Pantry right now. Make a creation using a Doodle Pantry image (they have free ones if you want to try before you buy any) and you will receive a free set for entering the challenge! It is a "win win" situation for sure!
I would like to enter the following challenges with my card"
Meljen's Challenge #92 - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments - Water Themed
Oldie But Goodie- Use Something at least 6 months old (both of the images)
Top Tip Tuesday - Anything Goes

You're Pear-fect!
I wanted to show you all the card I made using an image from Doodle Pantry. There is a challenge going on over there right now : Doodle Pantry challenge #19 and the only requirement is to use a Doodle Pantry image (not a sentiment). If you meet this requirement you will be given a free image set which is simply adorable!
For my card I used a pear from the set called Pears & Raspberries. I took the single pear and made a group of 3 by overlapping the image and reversing it til I liked the results. I love that digital images give you that freedom! Here is he set I used:
My card is rather simple but I love that I had the chance to practice my shading and that the pears are the "star" of the card! Go on over to Doodle Pantry and check out the challenge. You still have plenty of time to join the fun!
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Dream Valley Challenges - Anything Goes
Crafty Emma - Anything Goes
All That Scraps - Anything Goes
I Break For Challenges - Clean & Simple

There is a new challenge at Critter Sketch Challenge this week...Celebrations!
I am not on the team to present cards today...but wanted to share one with you all...
I made this card to celebrate the retirement of one of the teachers at the school where I work. She loves hats so I thought that the sweet hat from Kate's ABC's Cricut cartridge was perfect for her card.
To see all of the other creations by the design team please visit Critter Sketch and check them out. Make sure to join in the challenge too!
Happy "Back to School" for all of those who returned back after the holidays...

Love Snakes to You!
I have used this sweet digital image entitled "Love Snakes" by Doodle Pantry to introduce you to the new releases at Doodle Pantry this week! I have also used one of the sentiments that come with this set. I also have great news for you all...this set is yours for free with any order that you make right now at Doodle Pantry! How's that for starting your year off right?!
I printed the colored image and sentiment directly to my card stock. I then added dp to the top and bottom section of the card. The row of lace and pearls above and below the image are from Memory Makers. I then added pearl embellishments, cut the top edge with wavy scissors and added Copic marker along the top and bottom edges of card. I think it took longer for me to figure out the design of this card then it did to put it all together. I really need to start using the design layouts challenges that are everywhere in blog land...
Check out all of my DT members blogs (listed on my right side bar) for more inspiration and sneek peaks at all of the new images.
Happy New Year everyone!
