Doodling Around!
This was made for the Stock The Pantry over at Doodle Pantry.
I made this fun fold card using one of Laurie's awesome images and one of her background papers! I placed a doily behind the image and used a MS punch for the lace look on the sides of the card front! A pretty easy card when you use the pre-colored images. I love them!

It's a Critter Monday!
Today our challenge (#71) at Critter Sketch is a recipe: 2 papers, 1 image, 1 sentiment and 1 paper flower. I chose to make a small gift box which is perfect for a gift card. My papers are from Quick Quotes, my image is from Hero Arts and I made the paper flower.
The sentiment is from Sentimental Sundays.I used a Spellbinders die for the sentiment and backing paper. I stamped the scalloped circle for my flower with a stamp from SU. I then crumpled up the scallops a few times to get the worn look before I put the flower together. I really like how it turned out. And the best part? It was done with the little scrap pieces left over after I made and covered the box! An exact match! My image was cut out using a scalloped punch.
Go on over to Critter Sketch and check out all of the creations done by our D.T. and then give the challenge a go!
I am also entering this into the following:

Happi Monday!
This week's challenge at Happileigh Scrappin' is "Stars & Stripes". Your creation must have both /or either of these on it to qualify for the hallenge. I chose to use the sweet turtle digi that is fast becoming my favorite! I made him red, white, and blue in honor of the 4th of July and added the stars and stripes digital image behind him. I colored all with my Copic markers and then used some stains and Tattered Angel mists to age the background. I love how it turned out! A doily was then added to the card and a clothing tag that I had removed from one of my shirts)lol)! Go over and check out all of my Sisters art work and then try your hand at the challenge! Be Bright!
The challenge at Happileigh Scrappin' Challenge Blog this week is all about brightness! We want to see bright colors on your creations! Reds, yellows, oranges, etc....The brighter the better! My image is done with Snuffles the cat image...How adorable is he?! I used Copics to color and the framed him out in a piece of packaging that I got some stuff in from SEI at the CK Convention I went to on Saturday. I try to think "green" as much as possible! I cut flowers out of felt and then sprayed the top two with spray adhesive and added Flower Soft to them. I think they look kind of neat... My sentiment is from somewhere in Digiland...sorry I don't have a company's name with it.My papers are all from Michaels. My little butterfly is also from the $1 spot at Michaels.
Check out all of the other wonderful, bright creations by the DT at Happileigh Scrappin' and then try your hand at it! Have a great Monday everyone! My grandson graduates from Kindergarten this afternoon and I can't wait to be there!

Retro at IDIC
This week at I Did It Creations we are sponsored by Digis With An Attitude and we are going retro! Pull out those "hippie" stamps and images from the late 60's and early 70's and join in our fun! I got to work with this wonderful Hippie Chick and she sure did bring back memories...Yes, I was a hippie! I still remember using bleach to paint peace symbols into my jeans and ironing my hair straight! I thought I was so "cool"! Haha! Listening to Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin for hours... What a perfect life! I had all of the fun and none of the responsibility!
MY card was colored with my trusty Copic markers. I used a frame that I actually found a "stash" of in one of my craft drawers (don't know where they came from...sorry). I used a bright green card stock from AC Moore for the card base and popped on a flower to finish it off. Easy Peasy...Like; "Far out Dude" !
Hop on over to IDIC and check out all of the great creations the DT have done for you and then join our challenge. You can request any image that the DT have used too so you can play along with us...Get the info at our site!

D2D challenge
Another week and another wonderful image from Designed 2 Delight's progressive challenge! Faith sent those who participated in last week's challenge this image to work with...
...called "Mary, Mary ... I added the sunflower and ladybug image(Another of Faith's images) to the Mary image to change it a little bit.I also flipped the main image.
I colored with my Copic markers and used a Quick Quotes powder puff ink to distress the edges. I also cut up parts of an old card for the gold trim and butterflies... My designer paper is a scrap from my scrap pile...so I don't know who it is from. I used a stamp from SU for the round sentiment. My birthday sentiment is from a freebie on line. Here is a little peek at the inside of my card...
Leave me some lovin' !

Doodle Pantry 5th of Month Challenge#13
It is the 5th of June and that means it is the monthly challenge at Doodle Pantry! The only rule is that you must use a Doodle Pantry image. I used this beautiful image of Almond blossoms and did something I normally don't do...I hardly colored it! I wanted the blossoms to take center stage so thought I would only color those...I don't know if I like it or not but to use one of my husbands favorite quotes, "It is what it is".
I used a paper grocery bag for my background paper to which I embossed and distressed with inks. I love the way it turned out.
Go on over and check out the challenge... you will love it!
Have a great week everyone!

Hats Off! (or I Should Say On) at IDIC
Today is a super fun theme.... Hats... perfect for so many occasions. This week we are sponsored by Floppy Latte and I have used a really beautiful silhouette of a lady with her hat. There were so many wonderful silhouettes that it was difficult to choose only one!
I colored with Copic markers. A Tim Holtz distress ink was used for distressing the edges of my image which was cut with a Nestibility die. I used a sentiment from TLC. I love Paulette's sentiments. The white flowers are from my local junk store, and I made the other flowers. I used a punch for my leaves.A litte bit of a Sakura glitter pen and I was finished with my card!
Come join us at our challenge this week. You might just win a nice prize. All you have to do is ask and a free digi will be sent to you of any used by the DT. for this challenge. Pay us a visit at IDIC, check out all of the wonderful creations by our talented DT and then join in the fun!

DT Call for Lia Stampz
There is a new digital stamp company called Lia Stampz that is looking for it's first Design Team. The info for the DT call can be found here.
Lia has so many wonderful images in lots of different categories! It would be fun to work with them!
I was given this adorable digital stamp entitled Kiki for my card. I thought I would try to do a card that would be good for a woman or a man. Those masculine cards always seem a little harder to do...(I think because I always want to add ribbon, flowers, etc.!)
Anyway...here is the card I did for the DT call...
I used digital papers for my designer paper. They are from Toucan Scraps (orange), Happileigh Scrappin'(white with checks and bees) and TLC(green).I also used kraft packing paper and green solid card stock. There are 10 layers of papers! I really like how they look together. I used white cardstock from Walmart for my card base. My image was colored with my wonderful Copic markers...(I really do love them!) The added brad embellishments and the sentiment are from Michael's $1 spot. Thanks for looking!
P.S.
After checking out Lia's blog I realized that Kiki is a parrot! I hope she will forgive me for making her an owl...perhaps she is ready for Halloween? lol!
I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
Craft Your Day Away - For Your Special Man/Father's Day
DT's Saturday Challenge (D2D) - Masculine card/ no Flowers
