Happy Earth Day!

Today at school we had the children outside the school picking up litter... Hopefully it will be a lesson that will make them think about littering the Earth. We also did a little play where we had them picnic by a pond full of beautiful fish. Every time they forgot to pick up their lunch remains, drawings that they didn't like(and had crumpled up), etc. they were blown into the pond. Every time something blew into the pond, the children had to remove a fish. Eventually they saw that there were no more fish, the pond had turned yucky, and no wild life went near it. They all agreed that they wouldn't want to picnic, fish, etc. there anymore! A lesson well learned I hope. Today in honor of Earth Day, I did this card with a digital image that was a freebie(somewhere out there in digi land, not sure from where...).
So...Happy Earth Day everyone, keep on recycling and keeping the earth a better place for our children and grandchildren and generations to come!
