Hi friends!! Thank you for joining us today as we celebrate Emily's recent Sweet 16th Birthday! We're so thankful you've joined us to celebrate the sixteenth birthday of a fun loving young lady. She will be blessed by your participation, designs and comments.
"You should be arriving from Jessica D.'s blog. If so, GREAT if not, please check out the bottom of my blog for a complete list of the blog line-up."
There is also blog candy, you can find out more at the beginning of the blog hop where you will find specific details on Beth's blog!
The grand prize blog candy is two GREAT stamp sets and there is other blog candy offered by participants; if you hop, join blogs and leave comments.
We look forward to seeing you sometime today. To qualify for the grand prize blog candy you must hop, join and leave comments before Sunday, December 20th @ midnight. Here is the card I created for Emily's birthday:
I used my Explore die cutting machine to create the happy birthday sign. My paper base is lime green with a teal blue/green on top of that. I mounted my next white card stock with the pretty fancy silver swirls on top of the first two layers. (This card stock is actually from a wedding kit...lol!). A little wash tape and my front was done!
and here is the inside of it:
For the inside I depended on my Explore once again! I cut out the "Sweet" and then used the base taking away the letters. For the "16th" I used the actual cut out numbers and letters. My image is from Whiff of Joy and is called "Henry Celebrating Mouse". I just adore him ! I used my Copic markers to color him in.I distressed the edges of the paper with Tim Holtz distressed ink. Then I put everything together to complete the inside.I hope she likes it...
A great big "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to a special young lady....(Your Mom sure does love you!!!)

Winter/Christmas Card Challenge
It is hard to believe but this round of designing for Cardz TV is over with this challenge! I love being on the team and when Mary asked if we were returning I said "YES" ! I love being on this design team with so many talented ladies.
This time we challenge you to create a card for winter and/or Christmas. I created using the cutest SVG files of 2 different snowmen. I couldn't decide which one to use so I am using both of them to create 2 different cards!
My first card was done using an invitation card from wedding announcement kit that I found at Walmart for $2.00. It came with 50 base cards for the announcement, 50 reply cards, 50 return address reply card envelopes and 50 large envelopes to mail out the invitations! As all of you card makers out there know...this was a deal I couldn't pass up! (even just for the envelopes). My snowman is a cutting file from Miss Kates Cuttables and was cut using recollection card stock on my Explore. The sentiment is from Cardz TV stamp set called, "Snow Day". Here is another look at my finished card,
My second card is cut from another SVG file. I also used Recollection card stock (for the card base too), and the stamp set from Cardz TV entitled,"Snow Days".
So...there are my creations...check out all of the other great creations at Cardz TV and then plan on doing in the challenge. It will be "Snow much fun"!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Giving Thanks
This time at Cardz TV our challenge to you is to create a card for Thanksgiving. Here is the card I have created:
I used a card base from a kit that I bought at Michael's a few months ago. It came with that pretty embossed front too! I used a die cut that I created using my Cricut Explore and a cartridge "Autumn Celebrations". This cornucopia I think is so very pretty and I used soft colors for my fruit falling out of it... The sentiment "Happy Thanksgiving" is from the Cardz TV stamp set entitled, "Happy Days". This set is chock full of sentiments for lots of different "Happy days". I used yellow and green card stock from Recollections for my frame around the cornucopia and pop up dots to lay it on top of the frame.
Check out the challenge and then plan on joining us. You have 2 weeks to create and post your card. You just might be the next winner of an awesome set of stamps from Mary :)
So...This weekend is really going to be a busy one with shopping and planning our Thanksgiving celebration. I will have lots of family to help celebrate with us and I wouldn't have it any other way! I love, love, love family times !!!!

Hello Pumpkin !
This time around over at CardzTV the challenge is to use a pumpkin in or on your card. Pretty easy and this is definitely the season for pumpkins . I had a little fun with this one and made a dimensional pumpkin for my card front.I found a pumpkin shape that I liked in Design Space and cut it out 3 times. Then I fooled around trying to figure out how to fold it, etc. to give it dimension. I used an embossing folder to give it even more dimension. i love polka dots...don't you?
Here is my card...
I used 2 different stamps from two different stamp sets to complete the card. I used a really cool stitch looking stamp to the outside edges. This is from the new "Basic Borders" set. My sentiment (which is one of my favorites) is from the set called "Count Your Blessings".
Please go over to Cardz TV and see all of the great 'PUMPKIN" cards made by my fellow design team members. Then I hope you join in our challenge! Have a great weekend everyone !!!!

Did Someone Say,"Halloween Challenge" ?
Hi everyone I hope this post finds you all well and happy . Over at Cardz TV there is a new challenge for the next two weeks... We want to see your Halloween creativity! I chose to use my Cricut to cut out a few items (the sign, pumpkin and mason jar) which I then used to create my card. I used two different stamp sets from Cardz TV to complete it. I stamped the eyeballs in the jar and the face on the pumpkin using "Let's Face It" and the sentiment on the sign is from "Frankly Frightening". Both of these sets are wonderful to use for halloween !
So anywho... here is my card...
Please go check out the challenge and all of the wonderful cards created for you by our talented D.T. ! Then why don't you show us your creativity and enter the challenge :) There just might be a prize in it for you if you are the randomly selected winner of the challenge !

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year ! I love how the days become a little cooler, the air becomes crisp and the foliage begins to bring on beautiful colors to celebrate the Fall ! Over at Cardz TV we are celebrating this new season with our new challenge!
I would love to share my card that I created for the Cardz TV challenge. Use Fall icons in your creation when making your card. Think, acorns, changing leaves, scarecrows, corn stalks, etc. Here is what I have created :
I used a cute SVG file from Miss Kate's Cuttables for the scarecrow. I made my own cornstalks as I couldn't find any in my Cricut cartridges... I used some glitter tape to add a few gold kernels on my ears of corn. The sentiment is from Cardz TV sentiment stamp set called, "Mixed Messages".
I would love to have you join in the fun for this challenge! Just go to Cardz TV and check out all of the wonderful cards my design team have created and then show us yours! You could be the next winner of a great stamp set :)

This card was done using my Cricut and a "Make it Now" project on Design Space. I played around with it and did a few things differently (Like the silk flower instead of a bigger paper flower). I added a bit of glitter to the swirls with a Spica glitter pen.The sentiment is from the "Summer Fun" stamp set shown here:
Here is my second creation using my Cricut once again and cutting out this adorable snail! I placed him on burlap and then mounted that on some designer paper. This was then mounted on my card base. Pretty simple card but I think it is adorable! Below is the stamp set that I used the sentiment from and it is appropriately called; "Just Saying" LOL

Monday, Monday...
Happy Monday everyone! I don't know about you but Monday is the toughest day of the week for me.... I always have a hard time sleeping on Sunday nights. Not sure why!
Anyway... I thought I would share a card I made for a co-worker whose sister passed away suddenly last Friday. I have the hardest time making sympathy cards....(almost as hard as falling asleep on Sunday evenings...lol).
I used my Cricut Explore to cut out the flowers which I glued onto the purple Cardstock. The purple yardstick was embossed using a Swiss dots folder by Cricut. A purple ribbon laid over a strip of white yardstick. I added some pearl embellishments, a butterfly die cut and the sentiment to finish off the card.
I never am sure of just how much is too gaudy but hope this will be fine...I want the card to show my respect and care to the receiver in their time of grief. Hopefully this card will.

Mothers...
Today the card challenge for CardzTV is all about your Mums, Moms, Mothers,Mamas, or whatever term of endearment you use for your Mom. We are celebrating Mother's Day in a couple of weeks and thought that it would be a great time to honor her with cards. Just think...you can create a card for your Mom ahead of time, enter our challenge and possible be the winner of a wonderful stamp set from CardzTV !
Here is the card I have created...
I used paper from Recollections for my base and all layers. I used an embossing folder from Darice called "Grass" to emboss my layers with. I added a touch of "rick-rack" to the bottom of the card. The ovals were cut out using Spellbinders dies. I used foam tape to elevate the ovals on the card. A Copic marker was used to lightly go over all of the embossed images to help bring them "up front" a little better. Two different CardzTV stamp sets were used for the card. On this front section I used a sentiment from the "Happy Days" set. Here is a close up of the inside of the card...
The stamp used on the inside of the card is from the "Heavenly" stamp set. Again I used the Spellbinder dies to cut my ovals. The finishing touches to both the inside and outside of the card are my sweet butterflies. They are from a Martha Stewart punch.
Please hop on over to CardzTV and check out all of the wonderful cards made by my design team sisters. Then sometime in the next two weeks plan on joining in on the fun! I hope I see you there!

Is It Spring Yet?
I don't know about you but I am so tired of snow, snow and more snow...! Over at Cardz TV we are starting a new challenge: Make a "Spring" card! Here is what I have created:
I used 2 different punches (scallop and round) from Stampin' Up to create the opening and the flower for my gate fold card. I used some green card stock from Michael's as my card base. I also used designer paper from Studio G for the outside of the card. A couple of more punches created my flower from scraps and I free hand cut the leaves and stem. My belly band to put around the card was "aged" along the edges with some Tim Holtz distress ink. I used a new heart punch I bought from Fiskers to decorate the belly band. It slides up around the card to keep it closed. My flower center uses a sentiment from Cardz TV set called "Happy Days":
I love this stamp set and find myself reaching for it so much when creating cards!
Here is the inside of my card...
And here is a close up of that flower...

Luck of The Irish
With St Patty's day coming up quickly; CardzTV has a new challenge for you. This challenge we would like to see your shamrocks/clovers! I used the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge to create my card:
My sentiment is from CardzTV stamp set; "It's All About You". I love this stamp set! I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for my "shamrock balloon". The original die cut shows Hello Kitty holding a bunch of balloons which I switched to the shamrock instead. The shamrock is from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge. The smaller shamrocks were cut with the same cartridge.
So...go on over to Cardz TV and check out all of the great cards the design team have created for you. Try your hand and enter our challenge and you could be the next proud winner of a stamp set from Cardz TV.

"Ribbon Me This..."
Did you like my title of this post? LOL I was thinking of when I was younger and used to watch Batman all the time. The Riddler always said; "Riddle me this" when he talked to Batman. Thus my title!
This time the new challenge at Cardz TV is to use ribbon on your card. I've created two different cards for the challenge. My first card was done using an old file folder as my card base and my tag. I also embossed with my Cuttlebug then used some Smooch ink to paint over the raised embossing. I used an old stamp set from Stampin' Up for my flower. The ribbon is from Michael's and the sentiment stamps are from Cardz TV. THe addition of some rhinestone stick-ons (from the $1 spot at Michael's) and my card was complete! Here is a look at it:
My second card was done using my Cricut die cut machine and "Mickey & Friends" cartridge. I used paper that I bought from my local stamp store when they had their garage sale this last Fall. The ribbon on the bottom of my card is from Stampin' Up. The photo strip is also cut from the "Mickey & Friends" cartridge. My sentiment is from the "Happy Days" stamp set from Cardz TV .Here is my second card which I created for one of my students at school. I hope he likes it. (Mickey is his favorite).
Come join in the fun at Cardz TV and you just might be the winner of a new stamp set from Cardz TV!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

"It's all about the Heart " !
Hello to all of you! Today over at Cardz TV we have our 2nd card challenge of the New Year. This time we challenge you to incorporate heart/hearts anywhere on your card. My first card was actually cut in the shape of a heart using my Cricut and the Artiste cartridge...
I also cut several other hearts using my Cricut and George and Basic Shapes cartridge. I also made a stick pin which I attached and then added some baker's twine to. Several flowers with pearls and a ribbon along with the sentiment from Cardz TV Happy Days and the outside of my card was finished. Here is a look at the inside:
I used my Give a Hoot cartridge to cut that sweet owl out and add to the heart. I also used a white gel pen to make a border around my card. The sentiment I used is from the Cardz TV set, "Christmas Critter Captions". What is so cool about this stamp set is that I used only the top line of this stamp to add to my card. I cut the stamp in half (and will still be able to use the whole sentiment when I want by just stamping both pieces). Here is what the stamp set looks like:
Here is the second card I created using yet another stamp set of Mary's, "Birds and Bees"...
I used my Cricut again to cut out this sweet bird and hearts. I embossed one heart and the birds' wing. The papers are assorted from my scrap pile :).
Come join in all the fun and perhaps you will even win a set of Cardz TV stamps!

Stampz TV 1st Challenge of the Year!
Heloo everyone...I hope you all had a marvelous Holiday season and a great start to the new year.Sorry I haven't posted here but today will change that! LOL
This is the start of a new season at Cardz TV and our first challenge is for you to create a card for any occasion. I decided to create my card for my Hubby just to let him know that I am always here for him. I created a "Buckle" card. I had forgotten how much fun these could be! There is a tutorial for this card atSplitcoaststampers if you would like to try your hand at one. Here is what I created:
I used two different stamp sets for the sentiments: "Just Saying" and "Birds & Bees". Try your hand at making a card, enter it over at Cardz TV and you just might be the winner (randomly chosen) of a new Stamz TV stamp set!
Have a great day everyone!
