HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!

The Easter bunny did a good job of hiding our eggs! I didn't think the last one would ever be found. It was hidden in our chandelier in the dining room. Check it out:

Here's a close up!
Pretty tricky rabbit! The boys eventually found it and it was quickly eaten! I can't wait for the next part of the day when our grandchildren come over for the big easter egg hunt outside... Yes, outside! The weather looks like it is going to cooperate today! More pics from that on my next post!

Design Team Contest for Modern Sugar Blvd

I just got the notice that I am one of the contenders for the design team for Modern Sugar Blvd. They are opening a new blog selling digistamps and ran a contest which I entered! Here is my entry. I now have to do 2 more samples for them using 2 different digistamps, then they will choose the winning design team! I am psyched!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed(hope I can still stamp... LOL!)

Singing in the Rain!

Well... It is Spring in Buffalo, and everyone knows what that means...rain, rain, and more rain...then snow! Yes, we have been getting some of those lovely flakes too! Will it ever warm up and stay that way? LOL! I am hoping for a warm Easter so we don't have to wear our winter coats. I don't think that's too much to ask for! Oh well... I did want to move back to Buffalo. I have to keep on reminding myself that I really didn't care for the heat of North Carolina!
I did this cute little card just because I love the House Mouse stamps. Who can resist this little guy? I used copic markers to color him and some watercolor pencils for the bluebird.( I don't have all the colors in copic markers yet) I used a wrapper from a candy bar that I ran thru my cuttlebug for the gold layer( I knew that eating that chocolate bar was a good idea!!).Papers and ribbon were just what I had in my remnant pile. Thanks for looking and have a great week!

Chipboard Word Album...My First!

I finally tried my hand at a chipboard album for one of my friends who had a beautiful baby girl! This was a lot of fun, and easier than I thought it would be. I used a variety of different papers, not sticking to one company but buying what I liked from a variety of different papers. Embelishments were what I had on hand. Jen loved it and I can't wait to see it filled with pictures of beautiful Brenna! Thanks for looking!

Happy Valentine's Day!
It has been a while since I have posted here... Life has been super hectic! I can't wait for the summer so things can slow down a little. My sister Lynda passed away on January 19th, 2009,my sister in law Sharon just had surgery on her carotid artery, and my husband starts a new job tomorrow! I have a super ear infection and am so dizzy that it is hard to think straight! I hopefully will go to my doctor tomorrow (if she has office hours) and get some antibiotics... I need to get a newe reader for my camera card as I have not found the box the camera came in since we moved... I know it will show up but meanwhile I have over 300 pics on my card memory!!! LOL! So... hang on, my life will get easier and I will have time to post here once again with pics of my work!

Hi Strangers!

Well it's been a wild ride since the last time I posted here. I have been so busy with our new house back in good old Amherst, NY and working 2 jobs. It doesn't leave a lot of time for all the fun things(but it helps pay the bills and keeps us in NY). Here are a couple pictures of our new home(family rm,living rm, and front of house). I have some new pics of cards to post and will try to do them in the next couple of days... So please come back and visit soon!

The Sun and the Moon!

I did these tags after I received one of a similar shape from a good friend.I used my Cricut to cut them out (Bags, Tags, and More cartridge). Then I went to town using inks, stamps, and some pieces of designer paper I had taking up space, and ribbon. I found the sun and moon in a little box of "stuff I might have a use for some day". Doesn't everyone have one of those boxes?! It felt good to do something constructive (and for me) for a change. I have been busy with my new job, and just picked up a second job, so I am a little short on spare time... We should close on our new house on May 2nd, if not sooner. (Not soon enough for me though; enough of apartment living!!!). I hope everyone had a great Easter. I spent it alone( my choice), because I broke a front tooth and refused to go with my family to the relatives for dinner...(Can you say "silly, insecure, and a few other adjectives"?) But I am well on my way to having it replaced. A temporary bridge is in place, and soon a permanent one will have me smiling again!
Have a great week everyone!
